Great explanations and visuals. The close up views of what , how and why you were pruning a branch was excellent. Your clear and concise. Great video. Thank you. Especially love the hedge of Rose of Sharon along your property line, gives me an great idea. Have a good one, from Ontario, Canada.
Just what I needed to know! Appreciate your simple explanations and easy to follow instructions. I will prune my Rose of Sharon bushes today. Thank you!
Thank you for the great tutorial! I would have forgotten to prune mine if not for coming across this video..perfect timing! Breaking it down into steps really helped make the process much more simple than I had thought it would be!
When I get the young ones growing around an established Rose Of Sharon. I wait for a heavy rain and pull them gently from the base of the plant. The pop right up roots and all. Then i replant them in different areas of the property. Our tortoises eat the flowers and the leaves. So it's a no brainer for me
I didn't intentionally plant cucumbers this year, 2 plants grew out of the compost I used, so I have no idea what kind it even is. I've gotten no fruit whatsoever, but I've had 4 start then shrivel up and die on the 3rd day. I've also had some weird ass something going on on the leaves that looks like shiny brown spots, but I can't find any pictures that look like it on gardening sites
@@ohnoao9847 if they shrivel it's because they didn't get pollinated. Brown spots likely a fungus. Cucumbers are probably the worst when it comes to problems. Seems like they have an infinite number of ways to die! 😂 I try to enjoy them before bacterial wilt or gummy stem rot kicks in. Grew all burpless varieties this year but the cucumber beetles still found them as did the squash bugs. Still getting a decent haul of cucs
I'm finding mixed times when to trim or prune these. I have three next to each other I let get out of control. Was going to use a hedge trimmer on them now that it's fall.

This is just a simple prune. I'm sure there are more in depth ways to do it but I think it makes them look clean and healthy

Late winter is best. Right before they wake up. This way the cuts can heal since it's breaking dormancy
Rose of Sharon flowers and leaves are edible. Include them in a salad or omelet.
May have to try that. Thanks!
😮 Whaaa?! Gonna have to try that.
Tortoises love em
