    Great stuff. Thanks. Cool tip many of you already know. If you don't have a can opener for one reason or another, you can rub the can on pavement (patio, sidewalk, etc.) until the lip of the can begins to be ground off. Then you can just slide the lid of the can off with your thumbs.

    Amy, the only adage that I can say about water, fire and light is 2 is 1 and 1 is none. Always have bleach and another source to sanitize water for drinking and cooking.

    Ham radio is really great for emergency communications, they work over a much greater distance than FRS or GMRS radios. It's not difficult to get a technician license, you just need to pass an exam. A couple hours here and there of study on hamstudy.org (I'm not affiliated) and you'll pass the test. You don't need a license to communicate during emergencies, but you need experience and you need a license for that.

      Thanks John! I have more detailed videos of each category coming up. This was just a quick overview of most of them. I didn't talk about shelter, but that's another series of videos! We just got a pop up tent made by fivejoy (and the shovel in the video thumbnail image) so light and easy. I have 3 others (tents) but this is the most portable I have. Be safe, Nurse Amy :-)

    This is great stuff. I would highly suggest a little personal misting personal fan too. Not only is soooo good for cooling you off even in extreme heat but it can be used as a way to bathe using minimal water, and get the dirt off of faces, hand and feet. Add a little bronners and you are pretty set.

      Hi Ila! I use our Medium First Aid Kit in each of our cars @ store.doomandbloom.net/first-aid-kit-medium-grab-n-go/
      I wrote exactly what types of supplies are in each section onto the canvas with a permanent marker. That way anyone can see where to go for what they need, not just us.

    What about putting bleach in a humidifier since the coronovirus is aerosol? Would that kill the aerosol particles?

    • @DrBonesNurseAmy
      @DrBonesNurseAmy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Christa, Maybe a localized area might be somewhat cleared, but I don't think that is a good idea for the whole room. This virus is a tough bird. 70% Alcohol, Hydrogen peroxide, 10% bleach solution are good. They are having issues with other antiseptics being effective quickly or completely. I wouldn't trust that plus it is not good for your lungs to breathe in. Lysol might be better to spray, and wipe down surfaces with 70% alcohol or 10% bleach solution. We are still learning at this time.It appears to live for 9 days on solid surfaces. Be safe, Amy

    for games... just have plenty of rechargeable batteries, and an android phone with hundreds of games like I do :) That survival game she has is just one game. Portable solar panels charge battery banks fast and enough power 24/7. Also have nice bluetooth speakers for entertainment. and an LED light power bank.

    Video Idea: Is Celox or QuikClot still effective even after its expiry date
    I am always finding that I cannot find any celox or quikclot online or in store that has a little over a 1year left in it, sometimes it isn't even listed online. My question is if it is still effective even after the expiry date by a certain amount of time like the fish antibiotics, or does it degrade relatively quickly?
    Like if you agree,
    Thank you, keep up the great videos

    • @DrBonesNurseAmy
      @DrBonesNurseAmy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi David, I don't believe they degrade quickly. However, I am going to ask Celox directly and see what their answer is. Thanks! Nurse Amy (send me a message about a specific Celox and I'll let you know exactly what the exp date is that I have) I buy them frequently.
