Exploring Hyderabad 🇮🇳

  • Okay, so not my best start to the day. The hotel said they lost my booking and then charged me more to only have a dirty room, a bed full of bugs, and just so much bad stuff. Probably the worst hotel I stayed at in India. But things definitely got better.
After a quick rickshaw ride, I went to Hyderabad's most famous Dosa stall. I had it for breakfast, but apparently this is a night time staple. The pizza dosa was a fun mixture of flavors that felt like pizza, but still had it's roots in India. Then the Tawa Idli afterwards with the peanut chutney may be what I would have to order every time.
Just a short walk up the street then it was time for some sweets. I loved this place as they were so open and friendly. They started calling me in before I could even make it to the building! After tasting various famous Halwa from this shop, the most special has to be the Jouzi Halwa so I had to get a little bit to travel with me to some other cities!!
30 minutes of walking to work up an appetite and some sight seeing around downtown. This is where things got intense, the sunglass sellers really don't know what "no" means. I mean I already had sunglasses, you know what I mean? Then since I wasn't able to go up the beautiful building and film, I just kept it moving. Buying various jewelry and trying to bargain for some watches.
Taking a break from the hustle and bustle I quenched my thirst with what seemed to be the cleanest sugar cane juice seller on the streets of Hyderabad. He wanted me to take a jumbo, but I knew all I needed was a small glass.
Back to trying to find the watch I wanted and it finally took a turn for the better. I found a young man that sold the watch I wanted for the price I wanted. Then things took a turn for the weird as I got my boobies touched and asked to buy little girl dresses....
    CHAPTERS
    0:00 Bad Hotel
    2:30 Rickshaw to eat
    4:58 Pizza Dosa
    10:50 Tawa Idli
    15:30 Hameedi Sweets
    24:50 Headed downtown
    30:30 NO CAMERA
    33:52 Jewelry buying
    36:00 Buying watches
    39:45 Sugar Cane
    42:46 He touched my boobies!!

Just a guy from Arkansas chasing his dreams of traveling the world, meeting amazing people, and trying all the delicious food I can find!
I am from a small farm in the states, I am now taking advantage of the opportunities I have to travel the world in search of some of the most delicious foods, unique places, and friendliest people.
A lover of street food, good laughs, and learning about other cultures. I hope to indulge in all these things and more as I bring you along with me on my epic journeys.

As a general rule, NEVER pay any money while booking a hotel in india, then they will give you the worst rooms. Book without any initial payment, and be ready to walk out. Best to just walk into a hotel, ask the price, ask to check the rooms, only then pay and take the room. (Unfortunately indian tourism industry is basically *mostly* people with shifty morality, shady touts and frauds) But there are places like Leh Ladhak or the north east where 'indian tourism' attitudes have not yet spread to, and people are still simple and honest.

I am sorry to see that you faced room issue 😢 and I can see people commenting that its very common and all that. But I’m from Tourism industry and I’ve travelled fairly alot in India and if not then I’ve booked hotels for years for my clients, friends and family in India. And I’ve never faced any booking issue if we’ve paid in advance. You just need to research well before hand. I’m glad you still enjoyed the rest of the day 😊
Love your videos and energy ❤

Hey Max, I love your vlogs I just started watching your vlogs. Thanks for showing those allies and street food. That food looks soooo yum those sweets are made with ghee (butter) very rich. You have to try Doble ka mita (sweet) while you are in Hyderabad. The vegetables he showed small light green small balls are Indian gooseberries and your right that is tamarind leaves. You Take Care, Thanks! 🙏

I don't know what it is about you - but my husband and I have watched all your videos on India. I can't stand Mark Weins or the Food Ranger.. so rehearsed and basic. Your videos are raw, and it feels like we are exploring the place with you. So authentic. Love it. Keep up the good work!! :)

at 29:26, the small green leaves are my favourite vegetable. In Marathi, it is variously called as chiwal, chiwad, chiwai, it needs to be washed thoroughly because it grows close to the ground and often contains dirt. Making it simple and spicy is the best way, lots of red chili powder in lots of oil and chopped onion with either besan or crushed peanut powder.

  • @MohammedAslamtit-bitsoflife
    @MohammedAslamtit-bitsoflife ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, you are right, the tiny tiny leaves are of tamarind tree and when prepared with rib meat it's so delicious.
    That ounla is goose berry.
There is a reason why he stopped you from entering the charminar, it's because on the top of the building you will find the mosque. You will photograph it and that is the reason they wanted to avoid.

Hameedi confectioners and sweets is probably the oldest and the most legendary sweet shop of hyderabad. They were the official sweet makers of the Great nizam, the king of hyderabad and also the richest man on earth. The sweet makers have some very special halwa's that no other sweet shop can offer. They are the traditional sweet makers of hyderabad. It was a relief to see the sweet shop owner just being a true hyderabadi with you, we hyderbadis are famous for welcoming our guests. I hope the govt or tourism must have taken notes of that platinum hotel, it truly is scam.

The disgusting state of your hotel room, bed bugs and dishonorable hotel management, was enough to ruin anyone’s day. It’s amazing how you refocused your day on positive discovery and energy and transformed the experience. It’s a good lesson for all of us to put negative elements of the past behind us and rise to the occasion of future discovery and opportunity. Your positive energy is like a magnet attracting good energy and viewers in the thousands. What comes natural for you can be a challenge for many of us. I appreciate the reminder that each new day is full of discovery and the energy you bring with you is the energy you find.
