  • Whatever we think about other writers, we think about ourselves. Never call an author whose work you don’t enjoy “bad.” It’s only a matter of time before you look at your own stories and believe they stink and that you have no talent.

"How do I create something that isn't bad?" This question rambles about in my head...and that's the problem! Thank you for pointing this out.

Thank you. Love that it's a matter of telling the story I want to tell, and love that it's not avoiding bad writing.

Fear is movement away from, and love is a movement toward!

This is wonderful - whether you're a writer or not. ❤️❤️

I find it helpful to see the bad reviews of my favorite books and writers. Helps me to relax quite a bit (after initial annoyance and urge to defend them!)

    Thanks Bill!
Was it not Hemingway who stated he hated reading other writers prose; that if it was bad he hated bad writing, and if it was good he felt jealous?

      That sounds about right.
