Just bought a 99' Suburban 5.7 vortec / 4l60e and am getting ready to swap it this winter funds are holding me back, but i want to do this so bad Cross Country and offroad the heck out of this truck next year! I may not have twin turbos but i'm gonna make it happen!

It was embarrassing at the time to be broke down on the side of the road, but looking back what you learn and the things you can do to fix it. Sometimes relying solely on the kindness of strangers. My 671 supercharged. boss 302 with no computer in a 68 cougar gets better gas mileage than my 2011 f-250 stock 351 with a computer by far. So computer has did nothing but trouble to the consumer. It just costs more for new car and more to own it though the years and then obsolete after 5 years. Your truck. Its timeless.
It is true that a super charger is way more efficient then naturally aspirated motors. Even with 2. 4 barrel carbs if you are running around town and not opening the next 2 and then the last 4 it's good on gas. Just set the linkage up to work that way. Lokart. Makes very adjustable progressive linkage. If I stomp on it the gas gauge moves fast .. like right now. The car also.. I can liquify the tires cruising at 65 when I stomp on it. Ungodly scream comes out of them. The motor dynoed out at 852 hp.
I've never seen any filters on those turbos. Have you ever had a problem with the motor ingesting water/snow or any debris from driving without any turbo filters.

Every thing I build before it hits the road.i silver sauder. And water tight all electrical connections if the light uses the old type light bulb I tap sauder a dot to connect it . That way lights are bright and never a wiring or light issue. Helps keep the cops away. I dont have your luck with cops. When I get pulled over if the cop cant find a reason to give a traffic ticket I will get a Jay walking ticket. I apparently dont have your smile. I digress.. now you realy need dash gauges water temp , oil pressure, charging or battery condition gauge, boost gauge oil filled , and a speedometer and rpm gauge. If you need message me I will send you them. Gauges give you the info of how things are running before you blow the thing to high heaven....hopefully!
You can go to a junk yard and buy a instrument cluster out of almost anything and use it in the truck. Today's computer ran control everything. Including the gauges so they may not work.older cars no problem. The car company's introduced the computer not to make it run better or use less fuel . It was to take complete control of your vehicle. Program the software to indicate a break down when there is not to get your money. Also so the back yard mechanic cant work on it. Forcing you to take it to the dealer . Scam Scam. But we shade tree mechanics are smarter than they thought we are finding ways around there illegal stuff . But they are passing laws making what we do the illegal stuff. Its all BS.
