I ordered a new passport in mid March and it arrived 5 days later, very prompt and speedy service. The only problem is I twisted my knee in mid February and four weeks ago I got shingles. Hopefully travelling next month as I need to build the strength up in my knee.
GEEEE WIZZZZ!!!! i applied for my new passport about a week and a half ago on my phone and took my own photos etc and even with the first pic being regected and having to take another one etc my new passport was delivered to me last tuesday and i received my old one back the other day!!! mind you i wasnt in such a hurry as my next holiday is to london in july (flying down) then Gran canaria in oct ...my old passport expired this month ...my last trip abroad was last october . Gawd ya got stung M8t !!
Watching this makes me realise how privileged I am to have an Irish passport. To renew it is €75 as opposed to £100 for a British passport. Also, it can be renewed online. I renewed mine recently on Thursday afternoon and received the new one three days later on Monday. There also isn’t the problem of having the three months validity when travelling to the EU.
The passport service is the only Government department that is excellent. We live in Tenerife and my wife had to renew her passport it has just taken two and a half weeks from me sending the old passport back and renewing the new one. Still waiting you for the old one returning.

You might not need the extra pages if they finally get the system in the EU sorted as it will be fingerprint and facial scans rather than stamps. However as you will no doubt know its been delayed multiple times so probably better safe than sorry. As for rough around the station, I have noticed at home and abroad a lot of places seem to have the same issue. I guess because of the footfall you often get beggars and unfortunately a lot of those begging will have substance abuse issues.
Keep an eye on that stuff. It is your livelihood now, you may be able to claim it as a business charge on your taxes. I am so lucky to have a Euro and American pass so I am always in the short line at airports. Glad you got it sorted Kevin
Its so ridiclous that they dont give you automatically more pages to stamp on your passport such a rip off you have to pay extra 40 quid for a few more pages glad you got sorted for your new travels
Enjoy the Euros and Germany but I have to say Dusseldorf is one of the most boring places I've ever been to! Should be a lot better when the Euros are on, though.

It states on the gov website that UK passports are only required to be valid for length of stay only reason I know is I’m due to go later this year and I doubled checked it after watching the vlog as I hit the panick button 😂😂
