Thank you for this extremely helpful information & heads up on design flaws that are not readily apparent with these types of products!

Installing a 30" floating vanity now. You are right, the plumbing is an issue and not all the dimensions are given ( the rear opening). I am going to have to cut a rear support to make this work. And yes, the top doesn't snug to the wall.

Just asking a question. We bought the floor supported unit that is 72" long with 2 sinks. I am concerned about carrying the vanity top. Can we carry it without supporting the middle of the top? It is very heavy and I don't want to break it.

If your wall bracket is on correctly, I can’t see why not.

Yes... but only if done correctly. The confusion by TodayIWorkOn is the countertop in this video is acrylic (i.e. light weight plastic). Manufacturer warnings about breaking a vanity countertop when lifting it are included with countertops made of stone (manmade or otherwise) Depending on the countertop material some stone tops (although very heavy) are more fragile / brittle than others. Picking up a stone, granite, marble etc slab countertop at each end with the working surface is parallel the floor leaves the middle, center portion of the top unsupported allowing it to flex and potentially break under the strain of its own weight. Ideally, longer heavy slabs that require two people to move or lift them should be picked up and or carried with the slab being held perpendicular to the floor (one person at each end of the long slab, holding it so the slab working surface is vertical). While keeping the slab vertical, carry it to the vanity location, and sit the lower edge down on the vanity. At this point the vanity is now supporting the weight of the slab "along its entire length" versus just being supported at each end. At this point there is no longer any stress on the middle of the slab. Making sure the long edge remains supported by the vanity, carefully lay it over into position.

As if the plumbing location is the vanity's fault

A cad of the vanity showing placement where the cabinet panels go would be nice. That was not available on this particular vanity. Regardless it was one of the most poorly built pieces I have installed over the years.

In my experience, if one has that many issues, no matter how many you order, they will all have similar issues. Most times you get one that worse.
