I am actually surprised there are not more videos on parking and using a car for your Disney vacation. This actually helps you know whether it’s worth bringing your car, renting a car or booking a Disney resort hotel where you won’t need a car. Why don’t Disney TH-camrs cover this?!!!
Thanks for the video. We're going to WDW for the second time next year and want to rent a car to get to the parks as early as possible. I've also heard that a cast member can determine where you parked based on the time you arrived.
Absolutely true. If you do lose your car, they can quickly determine which lot you are likely in, based on arrival time. That would have been a good point to include in the video!
Great video! I loved it so much, it really helped me a lot. I just have one question: how does parking work when going to a golf course? Not spending any days on a Disney World hotel, nor theme parks, nor water parks, etc. I'm looking specfically about just booking a tee time, driving there and playing some golf. So, how does parking work?
It says parking is $25/day at theme parks. Does this mean if you have park hopper and leave magic kingdom to go to animal kingdom, you don't have to pay for parking again? We will be travelling with small kids as well. What if we leave the park for nap time and come back in the evening? Do we have to pay for parking again?
Good questions! If you pay a theme park parking fee and go to a different park on the same day (or leave and come back), you don't need to pay an additional parking fee.
Great video, thanks for the vital info. Exactly what I needed. A question though: can you park at Disney Springs then just travel to the parks from there if you account for time? I'm looking to make savings wherever possible. Is this even practical?
@@TheParkhop oh ok thanks for that. I guess the only way would be to take the bus to a resort then travel from the resort in the monorail or bus etc .......... that makes travel time stupidly long! I think I'll have to bite the bullet and pay.
Unfortunately, you will still have to pay the parking fee for your individual resort. The only exception to the parking fee is Fort Wilderness Campground.
Just planning our first trip. I'm not familiar with buses and such, but if we park for free at Disney Springs or the water parks, can we take a bus or something over to the theme parks? I've heard that the buses can take a while and wasn't sure if 1) it would even work and 2) it's worth it.
I have a car but it cost around the same if I take Uber. My question is do you know where Uber drop off is? Does it drop you off by the entrance of the park or do I still need to tram it up front to the entrance?
If you haven't checked in yet, you will have to pay the fee. The solution is to either go to your hotel first and check in, as early as 7a.m. (even if your room isn't ready yet), or just check in using the My Disney Experience app. Doing either will set your magic bands to show you as a resort guest, and theme park parking will be complementary.

This was an outstanding and comprehensive guide. Also shoutout for knowing how to operate a turn signal, it’s a forgotten art
Thanks, man! Glad to know there are some people who appreciate the finer aspects of fine driving. 😆
TY you so much. heading from Australia and im so paranoid already cause i gotta drive on the other side of the road.
This is exactly the video I was looking for! Thank you for the detailed information and images.
OMG! Im so existed! Great Video 🎉👌🏼🙌🏼🎉
Is parking the same for magic kingdom and animal kingdom same
Do you feel like preferred parking is worth it?
so with 'preferred parking' is that closer to the park and 'standard parking' is further away?
Fantastic helpful, professional quality video. Thank you!
For magic kingdom how much time does it take from parking to get to the park with the monorail?
Thank you for the video, what kind of method of payment exist at the toll? Credit cards, cash? Thank you…
Trying to figure out parking at Animal Kingdom since a road is closed when I try google maps.
How much is parking now?

I thought the parking garages at Disney Springs charged now? Maybe I misunderstood. Great vid, very helpful.
Nope, Disney Springs garages and surface lots are free. With all the money they poured into building them, I feared they might charge, but they don't.

Unfortunately, no. There are no buses from Disney Springs to the parks.

Thank you for the great info? Do you know if the resorts still offer complimentary Valet with a disabled persons placard? Thank you!
I don't know that, but I will look into it for you!
@@TheParkhop wow thank you so much!
I never Valet parked before. Question is it customary to tip the valet (I'm guessing yes)? How much do you normally tip?
I usually tip a couple of dollars on drop off and $3-5 on pickup.
@@TheParkhop Thank you!
Is it possible to park at Disney springs and just take the bus to the theme parks that way you don't need to pay?
If you have a annual pass and are staying at a resort hotel, do still have to pay resort parking?

There are no buses from Disney Springs directly to the parks, so that plan wouldn't pan out for you, unfortunately.
Thank you!!!!!!

The ride share drop-offs are relatively close, with the MK drop-off being the exception at the ticket and transportation center.
You the man that helps me out a lot thank you so much!👍
If you park at a theme park before you check in to your resort hotel on your first day at Disney World are you charged the theme park parking fee?

@@TheParkhop I have the app so that will be more efficient than going to check into the resort. Thank you!
Great video. Annoying music. Try to decrease the background music while editing your video.
You never said how to pay for the parking!!!!!!!
26.00 dollars to park now.
Dang I thought you save on parking by booking their overpriced resorts. So they get you either way.
Value resort guest park free at hotel and at all 4 parks.
