  • We traveled down March 5th, 2021 for another early spring trip to Lake Powell. This trip we stayed in Cedar Canyon for a long weekend of fishing fun. This is day one of our adventure. Tessa wanted to have a relaxing trip, and she wanted to catch walleye, hence: Chillin' with Walleye. We used Z-Man TRD finesse ned rigs as well as Lucky Craft LV500 lipless crankbaits. The weather and the scenery were gorgeous. Tessa showed Douglas how it's done by catching 3 different fish species on day 1 with much more fishing to come!

    Beautiful video guys, never been to Lake Powell. I want to do a houseboat time with my family some day, hope the water situation improves soon.

    We are from Idaho, where is the best place to launch from. We have an 18' Chris Craft and would probably rent a houseboat for a few days. Thanks

      Hmm I would probably launch at Bullfrog. Should be the closest to you in Idaho. That's where my wife and i usually launch at.

    thanks for the great video, looks like so much fun. It looks like cedar canyon is on the northern end of the lake, do you launch at Bullfrog? If they close the ramps for low water that would make a long trip from waweap!

      Glad you liked the video! So yes we launch at Bullfrog and the main ramp is closed but you can still launch at the executive service ramp by the marina. If worst comes to worst you can still launch at halls crossing. I think the water has to drop a lot more for it to be unusable.

      Yes the water is super low. Lowest it's been since 1968! We where not in Paige, we launched at the north end of the lake at Bullfrog UT. First time to Powell, that's super exciting hope you guys have a great trip!

    We’re did you launch from?
    If bull frog how long is the walk?
    Thank you

      We launched from the executive services boat ramp at bullfrog. The walk wasn't bad because we could park at the top but now that it's april I don't think you can park there with a trailer anymore so it will be a lot longer of a walk.

    Very cool videos! We just picked up a new Tracker V19 and can't wait to hit Powell soon. What electric trolling motor do you have?

      Awesome congratulations on your new boat! So one of the first things we did when we got our new tracker in 2020 was change out the minn kota power drive trolling motor to a minn kota terrova 24 volt 80lb with spot lock and we absolutely love it!

    hey guys, another great video! looks like you had a great time! looks like the lake level is pretty low. how rough was it navigating through Bullfrog bay out to the main channel?

    • @tdoutdoors7505
      @tdoutdoors7505  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's pretty rough right now. Our lake master maps sure do come in handy. You have to swing wide at halls crossing before cutting up lake because that point is super shallow.
