The racists already KNOW what’s going on. It’s the naive “neutral” people that are so deadly in their ignorance and stupidity on racism. The same experiment was done with bicycle thieves in a park. The white bike thief was “assumed” to be taking his own bike? The black bike thief was immediately confronted by everyone white in the park. Some even threatened violence against the youth in the experiment. Afterward when it was revealed that this was a news segment by Quiones the racists were embarrassed. Most white Americans are racists and just can’t confront themselves. They are not truly Christian. This “white” pastor now knows the truth. And he spreads it. Bless him.

    • @Newniche
      @Newniche 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

I understand that at a time America was great and still is great FOR THEM (white America). But America is inherently a multiracial nation and only whites have experienced this greatness and so it's very uncomfortable and antagonizing for black people to hear "make America great again", because for us it never was. While white people have experienced greatness or at the bare minimum common decency, for people of color we don't even have a reference point as to what America's greatness without prejudice even looks like. In fact, we've experienced the polar opposite, it's been hell on earth in large majority of our existence in "the greatest country on earth", quite frankly. So instead next time maybe leave off the "again" portion of your remark, unless you're only referring to white people because America is literally at war with it's colored citizens.

Elle Paxy sounds like bullshit a toddler definitely doesn’t have a power to take clothes off a damn 4 foot rack and then be able to put it back on a shopping cart. A child is far more likely to be interested by a doll or toy car than shopping for their mom. That is physically impossible unless your child was 6 or 8. Worst thing a toddler can do is make a mess with clothes on racks.

Jb berry 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️😑 I didn’t want to make this so long, but as evidenced by your tone deaf reply, it’s absolutely necessary.
The best advice I can ever give to any white person wanting to be a black ally is to kindly STFU when black people are talking. Even if you have the absolute best intentions (as I’m sure YOU most likely do), our points might still go clean over your head, and your *innocent* ignorance unintentionally makes the situation worse.
Ironically, my comment 100% applies to you, too. What would even possess you to tell me some stupid silly shit like “last time I check (sic), we’re all Americans”? You don’t think that’s a sentiment that would be better directed at YOUR people? When has black people not recognizing white people as Americans ever been the topic of anyone’s discussion? That was peak pointlessness and low-key insulting.
Racism is so pervasive and enduring because too many good white people stay silent and don’t take other white people to task when they do and say racist shit. MY COMMENT IS SIMPLY REQUESTING THAT WHITE PEOPLE SHARE THIS TYPE OF MESSAGE WITH OTHER WHITE PEOPLE, who are literally the only ones in the universe still denying it. If your intention is to make it right and end the privilege, what change can possibly be enacted by telling black people you finally see our point? OBVIOUSLY, black people already know we were right, because we’re the ones that have been telling you about it for damn near a CENTURY. As you all took your sweet, precious time understanding our complaints, we were being consistently terrorized, so forgive me if I’m not doing backflips of joy over your half-assed, past-due revelations. If anything, it’s annoying and a cause for resentment that you all took so infuriatingly long to put the blatant pieces together. You just collectively put your fingers in your ears and shouted “reverse racism!” over and over until you couldn’t hear us anymore. Save it.

My 17 year old, 6’2”, excellent grades, responsible, kind heart brother saved his money and purchased a dog.
    The entire family was excited!
My excitement soon left me. Because the next thing set in was fear.
Would he be safe walking his new dog?!
Since his an introvert (rarely go outside) would the people in the neighborhood even recognize him.
Every milestone that he has in life (he saved his money from 12-16 yrs. and purchased a used truck himself). Will he be harmed?
Because someone wouldn’t recognize his heart and that he would give his shirt off his back for a stranger...no matter their color.
Would they recognize that he’s still a kid and not a man.
Do white People have to worry about their children walking their dogs or driving their car (that they saved and worked hard for)?
No. But I’m in fear now. So, much so that we make sure that we go with him to walk his new dog.

@Terri Mehring, I feel you. I am a white mother in Europe with a mixed raced son, 20 years old, who is very tall and athletic. He loves to jog at 6.00 in the morning before going to business school. I always plead him to not trespass or shortcut. And every time, when I hear the key when he comes back from his jog, my heart jumps in relief. Good thing is, we live in Germany where private firearms are restricted.

@@terrimehring2137 This fear that only mothers of black sons know is proof enough, that racism and racial profiling exists. I made an experiment, I asked a white friend, a good friend, I live in Germany and blacks are a tiny minority: when your son is out and about, are you afraid that he comes home safe. She looked at me and said: No! Why should I! of course there is a possibility of a car accident, but apart from that No. That is what I call 'white privilege!'.

Bad assumption. Christians are statistically more likely to be racist than atheists.
That's not to say all Christians are racist (note the wonderful example above), nor does it mean we don't have our own racist jerkwads in the atheist community, but the fact remains that white Christians are statistically more likely to be racist than white atheists.

My daughters dad and I lived in an affluent new area, he built quite a few of the houses in this new area, and some of the houses were still being built, n we decided to move into one of them. He is mixed, Mexican American, he looked like a light skinned mixed African American guy. I am Spanish American but I look like a white lady. He was a contractor and built the really big expensive homes in rich neighborhoods. Once we moved into the new home, on this new street with many white older neighbors, one being a judge, another being a retired Dr., etc.
He was pulled over 12 times in a 5-6 month period, that’s getting pulled over at least 2-3 times a month, was pulled over 2 times in one week, always pulled over within 1-2 miles of where we lived. Always questioned to why he was in that area.
Because of his job he came and went a lot, he’d come home on lunch or grab other tools, forget somethin n have to come back for it, etc., need to go to another location to work on another house or whatever. He was accused of being a drug dealer, or scouting homes, or he looked “suspicious “ so that’s why pulled over. The excuses were endless. We ended up moving 7 months after moving into the home he built, which meant we lost all the money we put towards the house as we were doing a rent to buy/where you put a payment down and then pay a higher rent that gets put towards buying the home (we paid $2,300 month and hefty down payment).
Even though we were more at ease and happier it did suck we had to move just because the cops in that area had nothing better to do then harass. To uproot our kids, from their new home, their school, it’s just not okay.
I would think “I’m not be able to do much” when it came to racism/injustice, but I can, and I’ve learned that I can fight for people’s rights, my voice can make a difference, I can put effort into speaking out against racism, if we all speak louder, if we all voice for equality, to stop the racism, to stop the violence, the brutality, the injustice, we can and will make a difference. So don’t think because you are just one person that it won’t matter, because it does matter, and when you connect your voice to someone else and they the same then it becomes even louder, so loud that no one can silence you any longer. What is happening to our country, to the people is heartbreaking, it is up to us to help our fellow man, to say we are all equal and that we will not stand for what is happening to our neighbors, our friends, our families, our co workers, etc. It is time we stand together and say enough is enough.
