@@RogueAstro85 I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. If you are, forgive me for not being very good at judging tone over the internet; I never have been. I'm not a medical doctor, but as an ophthalmic tech who works for several, I can assure you that we're nowhere near there yet.
TL;DR: If you stare into the sun and go blind, you're just blind now. The best help you can get is occupational therapy to adjust to living as a blind person.
If a person stares into the sun and burns their retinas, there's literally nothing medicine in 2024 can do to help them regain any of their sight. Hell, even if you scratched your cornea and it went anywhere beyond the first layer, it could be irreparable without a full corneal transplant. People truly don't understand how fragile and complex the eye is. Many things can go wrong and cause people to lose sight, and there's no catch-all diagnosis of "visually impaired". And there's definitely no catch-all therapy that would fix every single trauma, disease, or age-related or genetic condition. Staring into the sun is one of those things that no therapy can reverse at all (yet).

The fire one makes me so mad. A series of towns nearly burned to the ground in my area a few years back (Trump era). It was extremely dry and the winds were like 60-80 mph iirc and sparks would hit one building and burn it to the ground while the one next to it would be unharmed. We lost a ton of trees and many also lived. Did trump try to build a series of 15 min cities here, or is that just how wildfires work? 🤔

Conspiracy theories about 15 minute cities? That's so dumb.
Nobody wants to burn down everything. We just want to write financial policies that support logical and efficient development, like upzoning and infill development.
If "having the house next to yours turned into a duplex" is apocalyptic to you, there's something wrong with you.
I swear, these people are just beond reasoning with.

I didnt know about that (i would say thsats kinda funny but tbh its also terrifying so not rlly, plus rich ppl actually have access to treatment so kinda defears whatever point he was trying to make if any), but im pretty sure the bill gates mosquito thing is reffering to how scientists were developing mosquitos carrying vaccines (like for malaria and such) and considering releasing them into poor parts of africa w lots of disease, (which is a horrible idea btw like omfg just give ppl vaccines and healthcare are you crazy), which is actually a real thing that they ppl who're developing them actually spoke about, look it up. So this conspiracy theory isint that crazy since its based in smthn real thats crazy. Edit: Nvm Pinely just adressed this i shouldnt just waited a sec lol.

I’m an environment science major and the cool thing is that the government does release mosquitoes in some areas. They are genetically modified males that are unable to reproduce and they compete with normal males. It helps reduce mosquitoes levels without chemicals. They tend to release them from specialized vehicles as they drive around.

Bro, Parasyke TV made a solid video on what happened in Hawaii. There are Hawaiian channels that started focusing on the oddities of the "wildfire". It's truly wild, totally intriguing. Some blue things aren't touched - there's a realtor who switched from real estate videos to covering the event, who I think is the one who pointed out there are blue cars, amidst melted ones, that were just not touched.
