do u wear the glasses while you read? lol jokes aside i wanna recommend some east asian literature: haruki murakami has very magical prose (i recommend 'the elephant vanishes', its a collection of short stories, or 'norwegian wood'. Also: cixin liu, like you said for 'dune', cixin liu's books are more aboutnthe questions they pose rather than the sci fi elements, everybody should read 'the three-body problem'. Also Künstlerroman is pronounced like kewnstlerroman. Nice video
Reading Don Quixote now, in that translation and edition. I agree, Quixote and Sancho are amazing characters. Great list Edit: also reread OM&M, and also that edition, a couple months ago. Also a great read. Loved the ending.
I agree with your whole list but especially with the two top ones. The picture of Dorian Gray is also my favorite book of all time, and Camus is an amazing thinker and writer. Thank you for the video.
Just got through watching all your vids. I had to show my girlfriend the collapsing bookshelf and Thermopylae thumb war, just so dumb (in the most perfect ways)! You're a star in my eyes, bud! And forget about returning to Infinite Jest, jump straight to his short story collection Brief Interviews with Hideous Men-you'll catch the subtle humor-horror of that one.
Going to order a copy of 9 stories now, and you’ve made me add slaughterhouse 5 to my “to be re-read” list because I don’t remember liking it that much 10 years ago, but that was me then. I’ve already got the Stranger on the list because it is easily in my top 3
Checking back in, I read 3 Garcia Marquez books in April and loved them all! He's already jumped into my top 5 authors. Still need to get to 100 Years but thought I'd thank you for the recommendation.
@@TraumaticTomes omg that made me so happy! Your amazing, definitely 100 years will blow your mind and will stick with you forever .Enjoy all your reads !

Hey where’s IJ? Your namesake?
I did not have enough courage to finish Infinite Jest.. It haunts my waking moments
