Great video, Thank you for helping old men like me who hasn’t seen this sort of stuff before. I can do it just never seen it before. This really helps.
Is this safe to do on the Pro MX too? I have to do something to stop the heat coming in baking me in the summer!! (Haven't owned it during the winter yet but won't like freezing out either.)
You sure can, the MX has a rubber "flap" that is there to try and help, it's possible yours is not set right, but you can remove it and seal it all up, a bit less open on the MX.
One other comment…..sorry. After it is applied to the top of the body, is there any reason to pull that back off in the future? You’d have to cut the material I guess. Or do you need to have any extra accessories mounted under the body before applying the sealant?? Thanks.
@CraigS-fz7gs best to Install whatever you can at the same time, so much more room, like here we have the heater kit installed and our fuse block and Winch run. It is self adhesive so no need to apply, peel and stick.
The MX has a rubber flap to help prevent ari from blasting through the dash, not so bad on that unit, but, yes you could do it like this as well and really get a good seal in there. It is not so open or squared as the F class through.
The only problem I have with the heater setup is the coolant flow to the core is static flow not direct pressure from the water pump so when you come to an idle cools off really fast needs to have direct pressure from the block kit comes with basically two tes for your upper and lower radiator hoses so when you're thermostat is closed no heat or at an idle not enough coolant flow for heat found this out this past hunting season

Us old guys can figure anything out, once we get the jist of it lol Thank you!
Appreciate these videos! How I wish I was closer to you!
Thank you and thank you for watching
You guys are awesome.
Thank you!!
Wish I saw this a couple weeks ago before we have been riding down dusty roads. It’s so hot to ride in here in FL 🥵
Can you show how you installed the heat shield from the very start. Please.
Great Video John! I’ll do this mod just wish i had done it when my mule was new.
Thank you and thank you for watching
Can you do a video on how to remove the dash + hood?
It's simple, just start pulling the push pins and work you way around. Couple screws and before you know it It's all coming apart. You can do it! 😁
@@HesterEdition Thank you John!

Has the 2024 1000cc models addressed this issue? I know they put some air deflectors in.
It has not, the 1000 is wide open as well and needs to be sealed.
What mat are you using from amazon. Been looking for an idea on how to stop the air flow. Great video.
Any, just search sound deadening heat shield and go from there, brand don't matter thickness don't matter.

Thanks….ive got a winch and your fuse block already to install. Picking up new machine tomorrow. Recall is finally over!!
@@CraigS-fz7gs woo hoo!
Will this install go approximately the same way on a Mule Pro MX?

@HesterEdition thanks for the info, I really enjoy your videos!

Can you still remove the hood if needed without cutting the sealant?
Yes because you don't put it on the hood, only the body, you end it where the body bolts down, the hood is not touched.
If this is a must, why is it not installed at the factory?
GREAT question! We have asked for Kawi to do this since summer of 2014! Along with a properly designed intake! *crickets*
