A little gag that often gets overlooked: In the first movie Doc asks Marty: "Are you sure about the storm?", and Marty answers: "When could weathermen predict the weather, let alone the future." Fast forward to Part 2, and the weather service predicts the end of the rain precisely to the second, and Doc says: "Too bad the post office isn't as efficient as the weather service." And then at the end, he still gets a letter delivered after 70 years (not by the USPS, but Western Union, but it still counts, I think).
The reason Old Biff was so sweaty and seemingly in pain after returning to 2015 is that he was supposed to be in the midst of being erased from the timeline due to giving his younger self the Almanac. In a deleted scene, we actually see Old Biff collapse behind the dumpster near the Delorean and disappear like how Marty started to disappear in part 1. Since they didn't include that deleted scene originally, we are meant to think the strain of time travel was too much for him and he was having a heart attack.
Bob Gale went into detail about Biff being erased from existence. He said that at some point in the early 90s Lorraine had enough of his abuse and shot him.
@@Mystic_Kal i uses to think that too when I was a kid and it first came out. It wasn't until years later when it came to DVD with the deleted scenes when I learned the real reason.
Biff shouldn't have been able to bring the time machine back to the place he took it from anyways. Even if he came back to the minute he left, he had already altered the time line, and would be traveling down a different branch as he went into the future just like what Marty did at the end of the first movie. There should have been no way for Doc and Marty to get the time machine back and stop him, the second Biff took the time machine and travelled back to the past he won.
Doc had a type of old age makeup for the 1985 scenes in the first movie applied by stippling latex on the skin to make it wrinkle. He didn't have it for the 1955 scenes. So in the start of this movie, he de-ages himself literally by peeling off a layer of latex, so that they didn't have to apply that stippled latex on him every day.
And you could barely see it except at the end of the first movie. That's why every reactor is so confused at that scene in 2. Easily the worst makeup effect in the trilogy.

It's why people are always saying they notice something new even after watching it ten times.
When this movie was made in 1990, the Cubs had not won the world series in over 82 years (1908), so they were predicting that the Cubs would finally win the World Series in 2015. In real life, they finally won in 2016 (so 108 years after their previous championship). Also, the "Miami Gators" the Chicago Cubs are playing against aren't called the Marlins because that team didn't exist before 1993. So, some predictions were accidentally more accurate than others.

0:39 - Unfortunately, no. Claudia Wells' mother was dying from breast cancer. 😢 Edit: You SERIOUSLY need to look up John Mulaney's take in the first movie. It'll cover some of your questions at the end... but answer none of them. 🤣
I'm proud of you for stopping it on time :P Awesome reaction. It is always fun to see you point out things I have never even considered even after seeing these movies like a million times :D Keep going, you'll love it.
Doc needed help with his experiments and started hiring Marty to do part time jobs for him. He probably put out an ad on the local newspaper or something. Eventually, Marty got interested in Doc's wacky inventions and they bonded over that. That's why he had the keys to Doc's garage at the beginning.
Doc said Griff's brain implants were acting up, so that's why he was acting that way. It was a way to have the actor playing Griff to not look the same as the Biff from 1955. They can leave Jennifer on a porch, because with a time machine they can come back and get her 5 minutes later.
YAY! I love watching these reactions. Yet again the happiness, wonder, excitement, and stress she feels is soooo relatable! I cannot wait for the 3rd one! Quick note on Doc and Marty being friends. Something I always enjoyed about these movies is that Marty and Doc are such a mismatched pair, but they get along so well. Marty is the cool, music playing, carefree teenager and Doc is the introvert, eccentric, scientist. Yet, somehow the chemistry between the two actors just makes it completely believable that they are close friends. According to Bob Gale, the man who wrote the films, his backstory idea was that Marty was about 13 or 14 and heard about the "lunatic" scientist in town and wanted to check it out. Young Marty broke into Docs lab and was fascinated by all the inventions, Doc caught him and was happy to see that Marty though he was cool. So Doc gave Marty a part time jib helping around the lab and looking after Einstein and their friendship developed from there. Personally, in this day and age where so many relationships between older and younger people have a very "Yikes" connotation, I really appreciate BTTF for giving us a wholesome, heartfelt relationship between two black sheep characters. Again, love these videos and I cannot wait for the next! *Addendum Jennifer spends most of the film unconscious because the original films ending was a gag and they realized putting Jennifer in the car created problems for the story and so there solution was remove her as much as possible.
Also... 50s Biff and eventually 80s Biff now know about the flying DeLorean, the almanac, hoverboards, Martys time traveling. P.S. This has to be one of the best react videos you've done! So much emotion. 😂 ❤
this was a joy to watch with Nikki, i love the commentary and questions at the end. lol . After ALL these years i never thought how bad and off certain things were. How doc and marty were friends...how they constantly left Jennifer...and Einstein. LOL
No, "Jennifer" is not the same actress who appeared in the first movie. That was the very sweet, and bubbly Claudia Wells who had to leave acting to take care of her mother who had gotten cancer. She now owns a men's high--end used clothing store on Ventura Blvd. in LA and she's the nicest person ever!
Great catch on Doc bringing Marty and Jennifer to the future. Bob Gale the writer said if they knew there was going to be a sequel, which was not that common back then, they wouldn't have had the line at the end about a problem with the kids and they sure as hell wouldn't have Doc bring her along. They wrote themselves into a corner for the sake of a funny line.
25:54 Isn’t it completely amazing that right after the Doc is hit by lightning all of the lightning stops in the storm. So what happened to the thunderstorm?
When Doc shows up in the opening scene(last scene of the first one) Michael J Fox gives Jennifer the most hysterical “I can explain” look and he does it exactly the same way both times
I have been waiting and waiting for you to do the reaction to this movie. Then this morning when I got onto my computer and saw the TH-cam feed, I got REALLY excited! You made my morning!
gonna love the 3rd... EDIT: info on Biff - The Back to the Future multiverse proves time travel, and specifically meddling in your own timeline, has many consequences. Old Biff faces the worst one. In the deleted scene, he is leaning against a car, out of view of Marty and Doc as they prepare to return to 1985. Old Biff gets sicker and sicker until, just after the DeLorean jumps through time, he fades from existence.
I still posit that time-travel paradoxes are bullshit. Because there's a difference between personal timelines and reality timelines. Whatever has happened in the past of the time-traveler has already happened. Even if they go back in time and change it, the event has already happened to _them._ They only changed it for this slightly different reality they created. Like, you can't go back in time and stop yourself from being born because in your personal timeline you've been born for a while. But you have changed reality into one where you won't exist.
It's a bit of a plothole. However doc does explain one of the options in the time machine console, is to "return to where you were". That's the best we'll get. @@Pakil7799
@@Pakil7799 The most straightforward way to explain that is that young Biff hadn't used the almanac yet, when old Biff returned to the future ... as for sleeping Jennifer bouncing all over the timelines, I give up
The reason for the weird plot at the beginning, in 2015, was because Zemeckis and Gale never intended to make a sequel. That thing at the end about going to fix a problem with the kids, was just meant to be a joke. But since the studio insisted on making a sequel, they were forced to use that little joke about going into the future to fix their kids and Jennifer going along. They just dealt with that the best they could
Nikki! The Doc Said To Marty Watch Out With That Griff Character Had a few short circuits In His Bionic Implants! That Why He Talks Like That! MIND BLOWN!!!

As a special deal I just saw at Walmart near the movies a movie pack that is Back to the future theme with 3 cups, hoverboard popcorn container and other cool things.
Hey! Great reaction! I love the Back To The Future trilogy especially the 3rd! You asked how Marty and Doc met. The screenwriter Bob Gale said that while it didn’t make it into the films, the backstory was something like how when Marty was 14 years old he had heard all kinds of rumors that Doc was a lunatic and wanted to see for himself if any of what he’d heard was true or not. He snuck into Docs lab and became fascinated by Doc’s inventions. Doc caught him but was pleased that someone was interested in his work and befriended Marty, and the two became best friends and started something like a mentor and student type of friendship, Marty also being like Doc’s assistant, which is why Doc asked Marty to be at his first time travel experiment with the Delorian sending Einstein through time and documenting the entire thing on that video camera in the parking lot of the Twin Pines Mall at 1:00 AM.
Nikki, there are a few pieces of media that explain doc and marty's friendship, including a game but the one ive seen is that marty was being chased by bullies and hid inside doc's lab/garage and doc helped him with the bullies and hired him as his assistant. The other is that the same bullies had him break in to docs lab and steal stuff. Doc caught him but instead of turning him over to the police, he made marty "pay" him back by working for him because he felt bad for marty. Anyways youll love the third part!
1044: There was actually a deleted scene that showed old Biff dissappear, but they cut it. I'm not sure why. 29:13 Yeah, for the longest itme everyone was like "YEAH! Flying cars!" and then they started driving. Bad drivers plus flying? Not a good mix. BTTF1 is still the best of the series, but BTTF2 has a lot of fun stuff in it. Can't wait for BTTF3, guys.
Yeah, that's my thought about flying cars. People would actually need to be pilots and be aware of traffic on all sides of them, above and below as well. Not a good idea.
Director Robert Zemeckis later confessed he felt he'd made a huge mistake ending 'Back to the Future' with Jennifer getting into the car, as he had no idea what to do with her in the sequel.
30:10 "How did they become friends?" The lore has been expanded upon in other media. In the original timeline, Doc Brown was the town eccentric who wasted his family fortune on crazy inventions that never really worked. He had a bit of a reputation. Marty was coerced into breaking into Doc's lab. He was caught, but Doc needed a curious and resourceful helper he saw in Marty, and they started hanging out. That's about the gist of it.
I have been waiting for your reaction to this movie! One of my all time favorite movies! Fun fact a few of my friends were invited to take part in the series in the next part 3. The location is only an hour or so from my house and they needed extras. The area I grew up here in California is part of a group of Gold Rush towns that sprang up during and after the Gold Rush of 1849 in California. Because my friends knew how to maintain and ride horses, they were asked to help on the set as not only extras but technical advisors. Also the guy that kept saying "I think he took his wallet" Was actually one of the creators of Back to the Future, and they thought it would be fun to include him in a cameo
Billy Zane was in the first movie as well. The actress who played Jennifer in the first movie left acting to take care of her mother who was battling cancer, so they recast her with Elizabeth Shue. And yeah, scriptwriter Bob Gale regrets having Jennifer get in the DeLorean at the end of the first movie. It's how you know that he had not planned for a sequel when he was writing the first movie. Marty and Jennifer getting into the car and taking off into the future with Doc was only meant to be a fun gag. It wasn't intended to set up another movie at all. But because of her presence, it became a major problem for Gale when he started writing Part 2 and 3. It's why she spends much of this movie knocked out and left in places. Gale had to find ways to get her out of the way so the rest of the plot could happen.
Claudia Wells, the original actress who played Jennifer, left acting shortly after the release of the first film to take care of her mother who had been diagnosed with cancer. She later opened a clothing store but returned to acting in 2011 and reprised the role of Jennifer in the Back to the Future Telltale game. Elisabeth Shue played Jennifer for Parts II & III.
Great reaction Nikki. I look forward to and can’t wait to see your reaction to the 3rd and final movie in the trilogy. Yes Claudia Wells who played Jennifer in the first movie was replaced by Elizabeth Shue in second movie due to a family emergency. I won’t say when but they, Jennifer and Einstein will be seen again briefly in Back To The Future 3. One of the great things about The Back To The Future Trilogy is how well it flows from the first movie to the 3 movie and how the 2 sequels each make subtle call backs to prior events in trilogy. Love and enjoy the emotions you display during your reactions and very much enjoy your TH-cam reaction Channel.
Thank you. I didn't know about Claudia Wells' family emergency. She has appeared at some fan conventions, but I've never gotten the chance to talk to her.

Rain doesn't stop like that. The weather service CONTROLS the weather. That's why it's a service.
@@godmagnus My point still stands.
in German it translates to "Too bad, nothing is as good as the weather forecast" :/
Doc had already been to that point in time. That's how he knew when the rain would quit.

There's some reaction videos that I pop on whenever I see them then there's your reactions where I save them for the big screen (tv) and get a drink and food.
Your videos are fantastic. Keep them coming.
0:39 - Unfortunately, no. Claudia Wells' mother was dying from breast cancer. 😢
Edit: You SERIOUSLY need to look up John Mulaney's take in the first movie. It'll cover some of your questions at the end... but answer none of them. 🤣
All these years later and I'm still wishing for a Hoverboard!🙏
I'm proud of you for stopping it on time :P
Awesome reaction. It is always fun to see you point out things I have never even considered even after seeing these movies like a million times :D
Keep going, you'll love it.
I love how the music syncs perfectly to the realization at 27:00
I love when Cairo joins us for the movies.
The reason the hoverboard does not work well in the tunnel in 1955 is because the road is...wet!
Great job as always 😂 can’t wait for no3! So glad someone told you to not watch the spoilers at the end ❤
25:54 Isn’t it completely amazing that right after the Doc is hit by lightning all of the lightning stops in the storm. So what happened to the thunderstorm?
I love your reactions. I wish you would do a Patreon with a full "watch along" version of these.
When Doc shows up in the opening scene(last scene of the first one) Michael J Fox gives Jennifer the most hysterical “I can explain” look and he does it exactly the same way both times
Awesome, loved your joyful reactions so much again! 😂
@3:39 THANK YOU! FINALLY someone recognized a VERY young Frodo! 😉😁
This is my favorite of the trilogy. Complex, fun, and not exactly a happy ending 👍🏾👍🏾
I have been waiting and waiting for you to do the reaction to this movie. Then this morning when I got onto my computer and saw the TH-cam feed, I got REALLY excited! You made my morning!
And it keeps being AWESOME!!! And I am glad that you did Part 2. NOW, 1 more step to go. And Thank you for sharing this.
Oh man, yes, been waiting for this one. It's a great reaction, can't wait for part 3.
gonna love the 3rd...
I always thought he had a heart attack from all that partying hard as a rich guy...lotsa liquor will do that.
Why did he come back to the same future, if he changed the past already?
It's a bit of a plothole. However doc does explain one of the options in the time machine console, is to "return to where you were". That's the best we'll get. @@Pakil7799
@@Pakil7799
The most straightforward way to explain that is that young Biff hadn't used the almanac yet, when old Biff returned to the future ... as for sleeping Jennifer bouncing all over the timelines, I give up
The reason for the weird plot at the beginning, in 2015, was because Zemeckis and Gale never intended to make a sequel. That thing at the end about going to fix a problem with the kids, was just meant to be a joke. But since the studio insisted on making a sequel, they were forced to use that little joke about going into the future to fix their kids and Jennifer going along. They just dealt with that the best they could
0:23 Shoes? Where we are going we don't shoes!
Yesss! I love these reactions SO much.
You are absolutely my favorite reactor! Can't wait to see your next video on Part 3!
It's so fun watching you watching movies!
Love your reactions. So genuine and pure. You gotts get to see part 3. 1885 is a good time. Small easter egg was those pics of Biff's family
Nikki! The Doc Said To Marty Watch Out With That Griff Character Had a few short circuits In His Bionic Implants! That Why He Talks Like That! MIND BLOWN!!!
i'm really jealous of you on how much you enjoy this epic movies it reminds my self the first time i watch them❣
Great video! Can’t wait for part 3. Please don’t take another 2 months. I don’t have a Time Machine and can’t wait that long.
I watched these movies in the Theater back in the day. I even joined the Back To The Future Fan Club. Got many cool things. I got 3 fan club mags, patch i have on my Life preserver/vest, a watch that runs backwards, and some back to the future micro machine cars. I cant wait till you see the 3rd film. As a special deal I just saw at Walmart near the movies a movie pack that is Back to the future theme with 3 cups, hoverboard popcorn container and other cool things.
The excitement and enthusiasm in these reactions keep me patiently waiting for new videos and hope we get more regular post soon
Yes finally Part 2 I was waiting for this since part 1 ! So excited !
So excited to see this in my feed! Amazingly funny reaction as always
Thank you for an enjoyable start to my weekend. You’re da best.
Also, if Nikki hasn't seen it, can we get Galaxy Quest?
Yeah, that's my thought about flying cars. People would actually need to be pilots and be aware of traffic on all sides of them, above and below as well. Not a good idea.
Director Robert Zemeckis later confessed he felt he'd made a huge mistake ending 'Back to the Future' with Jennifer getting into the car, as he had no idea what to do with her in the sequel.
30:10 "How did they become friends?"
The lore has been expanded upon in other media.
Love your reactions. The puppy moment was very nice. Any chance of a longer appearance? Thanks!
I’m so happy omg I love your reactions to this trilogy
So happy you guys continued the trilogy 👍❤️🙂
Your questions and comments at the end are priceless. 😆
Watching this reaction was so fun! You are going to LOVE the third!
Billy Zane plays the same goon of biffs in the first back to the future….lol nobody ever notices until they rewatch these movies a few times 😂
I want you to know how happy your videos make me. Keep up the great work.
I love that you noticed things I've missed and I've seen this a dozen times.
Why does *Griff* talk like that *@**2:47** Doc* explains he has a few short circuits from a bionic implant
"I want a refund. I did not get this future." 😂
Me too...me too...
I've been waiting for this! I can't wait until you see all three!❤
"i need that"
that could be the motto of the entire movie. we need this past, not the one we have.
Okay proud you stopped it, but honestly the what’s to come slash to be continued clips at they end were tops!
Your reactions are so fun to watch ❤
Please let the next one be either Terminator 2 or City Slickers 2 🤞🏽😁🤞🏽
My god, Nikki is the most adorable thing ever ❤ I could watch her react to the 6 o'clock news!
The Back to the Future TellTale game explains how Doc and Marty become friends. It is seen as a prequel sequel.
