This aspect of Sohyang as a devout Christian is not well known to public. It's pretty amazing to see how committed she is to her faith that forms the foundation for all her actions.
I hope, some day, she's gonna come to the church I attend!!

Wowww... I just love her song "바람의 노래". I never thought she is a devout christian. So touching to watch someone like her, preaching the love and mercy of God... More power to Sohyang, all glory to God alone!

I just don't see Pastors in America like Sohyang. Sincerity, pouring their own heart out, and reminding about Jesus Ministry. Service to others and your own love for God will be rewarded. Hi Harold, there isn't a comma following the clan name in Korean spelling. Thus it should be spelled Kim Sohyang, Kim being her clan name from where she was born, like our last name in English speaking countries. There are actually numerous Kim clans in South Korea. I think there are somewhere around 350 different Kim clans in that country, and over 20% of the people bear that name!
I used to spell her name as So Hyang as well. But someone showed me a photo of her passport and she actually spells it as "Sohyang" herself. So it is actually properly and correctly spelled Sohyang. It means "enjoy the light" and her grandmother named her, a fact she seems to treasure. 💘
I admire her so much, her love for God is amazing :)

Why "christians" feel like it is a good idea to tear down believers? Great job drawing the lost to Jesus.
Personally, I don't believe in God, but I am so moved every time So Hyang speaks or sings.. She has so much faith, and I don't just mean religious faith, but faith in general. Faith in the world, faith in the future, faith in others, but most of all, faith in herself. She is a hard worker, and she never gives up. And I don't think her strength comes from God or anything supernatural. I see that that strength comes from within her. And you know what, the hardest part of being alive is learning how to believe in and love yourself. And she found her answer. To her it was through religion. To someone else it might be through something else. But that is still the hardest thing for every human being. Learning how to believe in yourself, to become the best version of yourself. I work on that every day, and although I don't believe in God, I find so much motivation and love in So Hyang's speeches and in her music. I will not say that she is my god, although that's kind of how I feel, but I will say that she is my idol, my motivation, my spiritual caretaker if you will, and I feel like she is my friend. She is my companion on this journey to loving myself and leading a better, cleaner life. And if there is a God, I hope with all my heart that So Hyang will be received as an angel in heaven. She deserves the very best.

@Iris Suvalija I am sorry that you don't believe in God. But so Hyang has real faith in God. Her strength come from God. I don't expect you understand that. All I can say is that you read the Bible and ask God if what you read is true. If you will I suggest you read book of Roman and Gospel John in the new testament.may God be with you and open your heart to see him.
You may not realize it, but Sohyang is indirectly inspiring you through the teachings of the bible. You say that Sohyang is a source of inspiration, but that wellspring of inspiration in Sohyang comes from the bible and the loving God. If you take time to investigate the actual evidence, you will see why even people who are skeptical and logical can come to faith. Some Christians believe in blind faith because they think there is lack of evidence supporting the bible.
That is actually a misconception. There is actually ample evidence but the question is would you accept it? Contrary to what you might believe, the bible has been the most scrutinized and yet validated document of ancient history. No other document in history has undergone such scrutiny and endured.
A good start would be "The Case for Christ" maybe. If you don't want to read the book, there is a movie but it doesn't give you as much detail (it's a movie after all). You can start from there and read other things. Another series is on TH-cam called the Bibleproject if you decide to read the bible. It gives excellent summaries of what you have read. Anyway, if you ever decide to investigate. I hope this guides you.
