Iguanas are so cool. That was a big guy! I have had Iguanas as pets before, they are so cool

@@artofjesskarp I was alot younger, but I remember them being really chill. She liked the top of their head rubbed and would hang out on top of the windows/curtains and couch. She also would swim around in the tub for a bath. They are alot of maintenance though. I remember it used to sit on my head and it's tail would reach the ground (I was about 7 I think). Sometimes temperamental, just like with any pet, they have their own personality 🥰

Oh my gosh I’ve given little kids my sketch books to draw in before!! It’s so wholesome and it makes me want to bring that authentic childlike quality to my work... I feel like we’re taught to be so precise and then when we’re out of school we have to go back and remember the naivety of childhood
And when I say naivety I mean like the flow of being in the moment and not perceiving yourself the way you think other see you

You can really tell how much the warmth and inquisitiveness of other people translated to your colour palette, while the settings are beautiful they are no where near as vibrant as your final piece but it seems like your day was vibrant and full of colour 🥺 another great video! I often have little kids that come up and want to paint when I'm out. They'll come and sit down and are ready to go. LOL. I sometimes bring extra supplies for this reason. Beautiful painting! You have a lot more patience than I do.

Honestly, in the beginning, while you were walking through the forested place, I thought the area was underwhelming. But you elevated the place and put an awesome spin to it because of your choice of paint colors. Your painting is so magical, I can almost imagine fairies, butterflies, flowers and everything sweet popping out of it. Love, love, love!

I believe everything happens for a reason. You were meant to paint longer than an hour, so you could encounter and touch the lives of others, especially that little girl. She will remember your generousity, as will her mom and perhaps she too will grow up to become an artist. That is the beauty of art and artist; having the ability to touch others and have a positive impact on their lives. You possess this ability and do it very well. THANK YOU JESS!

Also my first language is Spanish and it was really nice to see how you interacted with someone that doesn't speak your lenguage sometimes we put barriers when we meet other cultures and languages because we dont know them,but art is a way to unite everyone with out even saying a word and you showed it, thank you for trying and thank you for just being your self.

Oh, qué linda la niña! Such a lovely and sweet girl! it made me tear up! I’m breaking the habit of drawing from photos and drawing more from life, timing myself, thanks to your videos. It’s incredible how much you learn by just letting go of the rigidness of details. I feel like my composition skills got better too by having to make so many decisions on how to fit what you’re seeing on your paper. This video was such a joy. You are a joy ❤️.

Can't believe I missed this video yesterday with notifications on... But the good thing is I wasn't having a very good day today and when I saw this, it surely turned my day to the best! I am very thankful to you for inspiring a 14 year old(me) and many others...your power is that you can capture beautiful pictures from both your mind and nature and implement that on a piece of paper which is even more magical and beautiful! I hope I have a chance to meet you someday in future. And about this particular spread, the yellow undertone really brought a punch to the entire painting and at last it's another unique and peace gathering spread! I love to see you urban sketch... I have pages in my sketchbook where my granddaughter and grandson sat in my lap drawing in my sketchbook during my last visit. They are 2 and 4. This brought back some great memories! I am inspired to go out and take the "plunge" where people might see me drawing and painting! I do like your setup with the tripod and easel. Great video!

it is so so beautiful !! i came to this video after seeing your sketchbook tour because this painting really amazed me. You really have a special gift because the locations are not that remarkable in real life, but you make them seem MAGICAL in your sketchbook. The moment you noticed the word 'inspire' on her T-shirt 🥺tears came to me instantly. I have been wanting to paint all my life, but every time I sit down at my desk I just freeze and end up not painting at all

I love how much of the vibrant yellow remained so visible, dominant, even, by the end of the painting. I always have intentions of doing looser, more colourful plein air paintings, but always seem to get bogged down with 'being accurate'. Watching you makes me want to try harder!

I just started painting about 6 months ago and am very shy about it since...I'm not good 🤣 but I saw someone painting at a coffee shop and thought that I would like to do that too! So now I paint at the same coffee shop or wherever with abandon and it's all because I saw a brave soul doing it first. You did the same for those children.

That's such a lovely painting! Your set up is great, I always admire organization and efficiency because I have so much trouble with it myself.
