    I can’t really sleep soundly anymore. My anxiety just overwhelms me. So often I’ll find Tim’s sermons and lectures and his soothing voice helps so much. “Are you with me?” Always.

      I used to have this problem too...until I completely surrendered my self to the holy spirit...and Tim here helped me via his surmons...I started to ask myself how?and his surmons were used to answer and invite the holy spirit into my hardened anxious heart.

    Best biblical teacher I have ever heard, he doesn't just read verses and give opinions he is intimate with scripture and he allows life to combine with spirit and his knowledge and the results are clear. Thank you for this teacher Lord, bless him give him many,many days to do your work, but your will be done, Amen.

    Paying very close attention to everything happening around us everyday, and keeping one thing in mind thru it all…Christ/his misson for you/ your life purpose… is the key that enables you create links b/w unusual things, especially linking it with christ or with your misson or with your purpose. This is the key!

    Thanks, i often feel like im on the edge of being crazy, history has many versions and focuses, the one that prescribes the death of a messiah rather than the glorious reign is the one im from, its hard to focus at times and i couldn't scream loud enough to wake my family up to it (mormons)

    Great talk Dr. Mackie! Thanks. Poetry in general is very difficult for me much less prophetic poetry because I’m very logical. But if 33% (⅓) of the Bible is poetry I’d better learn how to interpret it! Appreciate Dr. Mackie’s insights and methods of explanation! May YaHWeH continue to Bless you richly!

    Alerting perception is a huge esoteric concept and theme in the occult

    • @Window4503
      @Window4503 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      But the occult hijacked actual spiritual and scriptural teachings. For example, the idea of humans becoming divine (esoteric) is a distortion of believers’ resurrection and glorification. The difference is that the first is attempted by humans, often with the help of demons, in opposition to God. The second is given to us by God according to his will. This is why witchcraft and disobedience are nearly the same thing in the Bible. The gospel itself transforms (renews) our perception according to God’s will.

    I thoroughly enjoy listening to Dr Mackie' s kergmatic and didactic methods of disseminating biblical truths. I haven't finished viewing all the videos. But I have one question to ask - Dr Mackie' s frequent usage of the phrase 'holy cow'. Coming from a setting ofi various Asian pluralistic cultures and worldviews, this phrase has religious connotations, particularly Hindu. They venerate the cow as part of the Hindu paneothon of deities. So as a Christian I would refrain from using such terminologies. Probably in the Wiest it's just a way of expressing something popular (cliché), and means nothing else. Please accept my apology for saying this but I find it offensive especially when mentioned during Bible study and preaching sessions. It diametrically opposes Christian theological thinking. Apart from that, I have greatly benefited from Dr Mackie's biblical hermeneutics. It's deep but he has a way of teaching it simplistically without compromising the essence of the biblical truths. Thank you so much Dr Mackie'.

    • @allandsaenz
      @allandsaenz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it carries that much weight for you I would suggest refraining from it because God would frown on you doing something that convicts you so heavily. Romans 14 covers this, I would never judge you for your "weak" faith, im not trying to be rude it's the language used in the scripture, you refrain from saying holy cow to honor God and that's good, but for myself unless I am worshipping a cow with my heart there is no reason to be afraid of the phrase, I still honor God. These are personal convictions, I would just point you to the scripture in Romans and the spirit will guide you better than I.
