The 9-2 loss to Smashville. The LFR video that made me subscribe to Steve Dangle. That Epic rant where he said "SOMEONE ON THIS TEAM SHOULD NOT BE ON IT NEXT YEAR!!!!" Where he threw his phone at the door and scuffed it. Mrs. Dangle interjecting at the 9th goal. "THANKS MRS. DANGLE, IT'S 9 - 2 NOW!!!!" How could you leave that off the honorable mentions?

Game 6 2021 was definitely proof leafs were cursed lol
Kotkaniemi, wearing number 15, scored at 15:15 in OT, with the habs's 2nd shot. For context the leafs had 13 shots, so kotkaniemi's goal was the 15th shot on net in Overtime

I still havent seen the 4-1 collapse and i never will.
I was at work, i saw the 4-1 score after sneaking off to check, thought there is no way they can blow this, and at like midnight i saw the score.
It was baffling. I was in complete disbelief.

I was at work, too. Looked on my phone and saw it was 4-1 and put my phone back in my pocket and quietly celebrated and went back to working. Then had to go to the bathroom and it was 4-2 I noticed on the tv at the bar near the restroom. I come out of the restroom and it’s 4-3 and I just KNEW… checked my phone a little later… tied. I actually quit being a Leafs fan and caring about hockey. Then they drafted Matthews and he single-handedly made me a fan again. I both love & hate Matthews for that.

I was watching it and it was 4-2, my puppy at the time needed to go pee and poo. I was on the second floor of an apartment and was gone only a few min and returned to a goal making it 4-4. I wasn’t a fan of either team but I was shocked and was sure TSN had made an error on the screen.

If this current Maple Leafs core never does anything (and, to be clear, they've got years to still do that, so I'm not saying they won't), the loss to the Canadiens in 2021 will likely be seen as the biggest missed opportunity of the team post-lockout.

On the subject of 2017: As a Bruins fan, it still stings that we lost to the Sens. The underlying numbers (and the following seasons of them missing the playoffs seem to confirm this) suggested that the Sens were just not a particularly good team. It's amazing that they were actually a goal away from the finals.

Can’t speak to round 2 but the Caps-Pens series took so much out of both teams that I figured whoever won would have a big struggle in the conference finals, even against Ottawa. But the great teams find a way to win anyway

@@nathanaunger6093 Around that period of time it always felt inevitable the Caps would choke, so it's a moot point, but I think the Sens could have beaten them if Washington had somehow won that game 7. That was an incredibly draining series for both sides, in every sense.

For the honorable mentions *the outdoor game against Buffalo* should be there. Outdoor game "at home" (I know they're the away team but they're in Canada it doesn't' make sense) against one of the worst teams in the league, and you not only lose but your best player gets suspended at the end of it. Embarrassing loss on a big stage combined with losing one of the team's best players is an easy pick in my eyes

I'm watching this hoping it removes my childhood PTSD of Colorado losing in 02-03 to DET in GM7 of TWCF, the 03-04 loss to MIN in OT of GM7 RD1 after being up 3-0 in the series and Patrick Roy retired out of nowhere because of it, Joe Sakic losing full function of his hand to a snowblower, and COL wasting Joe's last full season (100pts) in 06-07 after having a terrible 1st half of the year and proceeding going 15-2-2 in the last 19 games they missed the playoffs by 1 point despite having more wins than CGY (also the year the home sell out streak ended by a mere 326 tickets).

I think the 20 game stretch that Babcock had before Keefe took over was about Dubas making sure no one could say Babcock was fired due to a personality conflict. While many believed Babcock should have gone in the off season, there were many who didn't think so at that time, and it had to be made crystal clear-- and it took 20 games.

I think it was just to differentiate between the two. When I, a Canadian think of Thanksgiving I think of mid October, but some people when they hear Thanksgiving think November. So saying Canadian Thanksgiving and American Thanksgiving. So when you're talking to a large audience of different nationalities and cultures like the SDPN has, it's best to differentiate between the two with American and Canadian

Wasn't that 2013 team an 8 seed? I get it's tough, but your expectations for how deep they should go has to factor in. Also age, experience, opposition...Im not a Leaf fan-Im Colorado fan,& hopefully we aren't about to become the Leafs of 2nd round-but I don't think you can put it #1 with such a young, inexperienced team, that isn't expected to go anywhere,& is still gaining experience. Or do I have the wrong scenario? It's possible I have the wrong year, but I don't think so.

Personally I think teams should have to have a goaltender they use like David who is their emergency goaltender. It makes a lot more sense and the truth is that it puts the home team at a disadvantage not the away team. When I heard that the Leafs use him in practice I thought, they are losing this game. I also was very annoyed they got Mrazek as a backup because of that game. His decision to do what he did coming out of the net was a stupid one. Being the only NHL goaltender available to his team what in the hell did he think he was doing.
