- Our very first 10th Scale RC STC / TTC event in July 2011 and it was AWESOME!! A HUGE Turn out with over 15 trucks that were competing and vying for a win !! This event was fabulous and Im happy to show you what happened in EVENT 4 the TANK TRAP!! Thanks to Rude Boyz RC for assisting in making this even all it could be! .

watching these videos makes me wish i still had my dads old Fast-Traxx. bet that would have won every event
Its not about winning anyway, its about having a good time and I can assure you everyone went home happy win or lose. This is what RC is about. A good time!

im more of a buggy kinda guy but this seems pretty fun actually haha. i have a hpi d8s 1/8th scale and a exceed barca 1/5th scale. might have to try and get a truck like one of these! nice video!

I agree them guys are WFO the entire time in tough truck comps. It also has to do with how people would driver in a 1:1 truck. Also on 1:1 crawlers they idle through some and go WFO on other parts to bounce over obstacles or to get passed a 70 degree slope. Great vid man. Looks like you guys had a blast. Wish I lived in CA so I could join yahs. We dont have any scaler clubs around my area. Jealous indeed I am :D

Cool video. Some neat trucks there. No finesse tho. I could do that kind of crawling with a traxxas summit out of the box.

@djmedic2008 it is a duty ;-) even the vid may be much less interestin than this one. Great event, looking forward for final round. It gave me some inspiration for our events here in CZ. Unfortunatelly there are big differences between our trucks regarding possible terrain. A lot of scalers here won't be able to go where my Honcho on 2,2 Badlands goes :-)))

I love this RC stuff, but the unrealistic wheel speed due to full-on or full-off throttle creates bouncing, ruining a decent climb. Gear reduction with controllable throttle [plus the addition of weight?] to gain traction would spark my interest.
Third channel on transmitter or a three position switch on the vehicle, depending on the setup.
@fruchttragend yeah i thought that. i have a 3 channel controller but it`s using the 3rd channel for rear steering.
man i would love to come to one of these lol , i have a 4x4 haft track truck im dieing to try out an i got to say i stole ur idea on the overkill man ,but i use the new bright top for mine thou lol

Whats the best motor for a 4x4 truck. (Axial Scorpion). Also the best winch? Oh and do lipos help for 4x4 trucks.
I wonder if the foley artists used small dc motors to get that sound?
@Dylan464 that would be cool to make a 1/10 scale rc truck of your full size truck. i really should do that sometime with my dads bronco.

what other upgrades should i consider?? i also did a heat stnc on motor, and the proline bead lock 2.2's

With 2.2 in do u have to have diffrent gearing

I see why you call it the tank trap. A tank could never get through that.
