@@FatFenderGarage If I'm not dead from Covid first I just might try to come down for it. I love the diesel races in Bowling Green, Kentucky too and i have an uncle who lives there who is also a Ford fan.
I had a 2006 F250 4x4 with a 6.8 liter v10 (if I'm not mistaken that's a 390 cid) and man would that puppy go down the road! She topped out around 113 mph but from a dead stop I could keep up with a Cadillac North Star. Very cool truck. And I've had a host of 8 cylinder 390s that would give them a run for their money as well. I love those old 390 FE motors. Ford has just always made some really cool trucks.
Had a '75 F100 Ranger XLT Shortbed Flaireside 4x4 With dealer A/C, 393 Stoker, 4-spd Manual, and a locked rear Diff. Had to sell it for bills. Sad times.
Been there and done that most of my life. I have had a ton of those 70s body styles in 2 wheel drive with the 390 and 360. Got a hilarious story about my 75 F150. I live close to I-90 in Ohio and used to travel it everyday to get to work. Remember how those trucks always had the cab corners rot out on them? Well, mine was in dire need of some front cab corners cuz we get a ton of snow here and the salt rusted them pretty badly so the cab was sagging a bit. So one morning I'm clipping along on I-90 doing 55 mph (that was the speed limit back then. Now its 65 and 70 mph.) I just about a mile or two from my exit when I hit a pothole. The cab sagged way forward and the dang truck down shifted into passing gear. The force slammed me forward shoving all my weight on my throttle foot and man did that old 360 take off!!! The truck instantly started doing wheel hops and the back end was skipping all over my lane. The force threw me backwards and when I pulled my foot off the gas the throttle was stuck!!! Remember those old trucks had flat steel bars for linkage from the shifter on the steering column that connected to another piece of mechanical linkage? Well when I hit that pothole the force of the cab sagging slammed all that weight on that linkage so the truck down shifted into passing gear. I about smoked the brakes trying to get it to stop (me being young and somewhat inexperienced as I was...I had no clue what to do to get it stopped or to slow it down and by then I was doing well over 100 mph!) Then it dawned on me to turn the key off and shut the motor down, then turn it back on but not start it up so I still had steering and I managed to get it pulled off on the side of the road. The shifter was stuck and wouldn't budge. So I grabbed my hammer out of the bed and opened the hood and climbed up there and started smacking that linkage with the hammer trying to get it to the Park position. I must've smacked that dang thing for 5 minutes straight and all the while I hadn't noticed that the truck had started rolling down the small hill I stopped on. I probably went about 20 or 30 feet when the linkage finally gave and the truck slammed into park. The truck slid to a dead stop and threw me backwards off the top of the engine and I landed flat on my back on top of the gravel and hit my head and got the wind knocked out of me! So I'm laying there and cars are going by and nobody is stopping to see if I'm okay. But then this little old man pulled up in his dark blue Mercedes, rolls down his window and shouts "THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR DRINKING AND DRIVING, IDIOT!!!" And he flips me the bird and speeds off outta there! Meanwhile, I'm scratching my head and trying to get up and it dawns on me what he said and I realized ...I DON'T DRINK!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣Got the truck back under control and headed off to work. LMBO TOO DANG FUNNY!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’m waiting for you to do a 7.3 gas and 10 speed trans swap into anything
You mean a 7.3 diesel swap with a 7.5 gas engine or the other way around?
I’d follow her anywhere. The view is great
