You should have replaced that water pump shaft .There is a groove in it where the seal rides Rule of thumb You can feel the grew with the finger now it is no good. Your water pump will leak. If you notice your radiator is low This is why Very good build

How did you get the water pump drive gear on. I'm replacing clutch and can't get it to go back on
If you didnt remove it from the clutch case cover then you should only need to twist it until it falls into place IIRC.
Who did you have replace the cylinder?
