One thing the Ipad Pro needs, and I understand this will have to be an IPad OS upgrade, is the ability to format a drive, also check volume of the drive. I have a Macbook Pro and format my drives but am considering in the future not replacing the Macbook since I find for my personal and business use the 2019 12.9 Pro is working out great.

Software to configure fingerprint does not work in Samung Portable SSD v1.0 application; Disconnect message appears and I have updated the latest version; if I can access the disk but I cannot configure a fingerprint, in software, which is the attractive thing to buy for security What do you recommend?

I do have one question, though....is the T7 already formatted to enable mp.4 videos to be played on an iPad or would I have to format it (I have a 12.9" iPad 2018)? I eventually worked out that using an external hard drive on an iPad (with IOS13) required the drive to be formatted to FAT32. My concern is "...could formatting the T7 to FAT32 cause operating/accessing issues with non mp.4 files that I wish to save on the T7?" Your opinion would be appreciated. Joe :-)
On someone else's computer (without downloaded Samsung software), if fingerprint sensor doesn't work (for whatever reason), is there an option to type in SSD pw? I don't see that option pop-up.
Good afternoon, can I install macOS Mojave on this ssd? My iMac mid 2015 is very slow with the internal HD disk, but I am thinking of using an external SSD disk and I think this Samsung SSD T7 must be very good. Thank you and a hug from Portugal.
Just purchased this and it doesn't work at all. I'm pretty mad. It connects to my phones, a Galaxy S10+, a Galaxy S20 Ultra, and I can go into the drive in My Files and see that there is nothing there. But when I open the SSD app, it says no SSD is connected. I've downloaded the APK on my PC (HP Spectre X360, late 2017), and it says the same thing. The moment that I click refresh, the entirety of Windows crashes and has to restart. Someone help me, I feel like I wasted my money. I really need it to work so I can transfer large video files to and from my devices/the SSD.

When I install it, it says that no Samsung Portable SSD is connected. I allow it in security & privacy and it still doesn't work please help

I don’t doubt it’s good but problems with Big Sur a pain in the ass to set up don’t get the finger sensor. Not plug and play it doesn’t work
