Thanks Dick. What did you think about the way intermediate mode works for SAFE AS3X. It surprised me when the control surfaces just snapped to center after reaching a certain angle.

Hi Dave... I liked your video very much on the Aeroscout. I have one myself and now I am getting around to setting it up. Also, I have a DX8 [Gen 1]... love the radio. wondering if you have done anything on the D/R and Expo. I guess I could assign that to another switch, but I don't know if it would affect the AS3X. Appreciate your advice here, and have a wonderful New Year. Emerio

I bought an AR636B receiver I have tried to configure it from the phone and I cannot understand how to activate the as3x technology when it appears in the first flight mode it works but for it to work I have to put 50% on the head gain if you removed the percentage the As3x stops working and in flight mode 2 and 3 I do not have any help, they are manual, I would appreciate your help, greetings
I have followed your excellent instructions and got this working on the dx8 gen1 and a AR631 in the Aeroscout. When trying to get flaperons working too it somehow doesn't let the panic work anymore, any tips to get this all working?

Before. Actually it's different setup method for dual rates.

I crashed mine hard, multiple times, always worked after repair. This time, the receiver beeps, no lights and won't connect any ideas?

Any video help on setting up a Spektrum Dx6i to the Aeroscout S 1.1 would be appreciated as the video above was not the same for my Dx6i . I have been trying to find a video with set by set guide but nothing yet . As always thanks for all your help and ..TIA
I think the problem is the DX6i has no three position switches to use for the modes so it makes it not really suitable. You do with a two position switch but you would have to give up one of the modes. Maybe just have beginner and expert, whatever, the rest should be the same as this video.
Every time I land my plane it breaks another servo gear in this plane, any solutions?

I have a Gen 1 DX7, which is significantly different than the DX8 in your video. Can you give me some tips on setting that up?
I don't have a DX7 to figure it out.
@@DaveMerc Thanks anyway. I think I found it, and will post a link here for anyone else who is in my position. What really needs to happen is you have to switch the 2 position gear switch (set to channel 5) so that it operates channel 6 instead, and you have to set the 3 position switch to operate channel 5. The solution involves some mixing. The instructions by "Ivan" a few posts down in the following link seem to have worked for me. Thanks for your video. @@tazman6417 im trying to read the rest, but its not letting me, I'm have issues getting my dx7s to work properly.
So I set f mode to gear on my gen 1 dx8 just like in the video and when I test it out the switch does not work (safe is engaged on all 3 spots) any ideas?
Not sure, wrong channel being accessed on the RX perhaps.
@@DaveMerc I figured out the problem so if anyone is having the same problem just update the controllers firmware
@@Thatontarioguy Oh right, I had heard of the firmware being a problem years ago but I didn't think of it. Just to be clear are you talking about the RC Radio firmware or the Receiver firmware?
I know this is an old video but I can't get it to set up with my gen 1 dx8. Which receivers can you do this with. It will not work with a 8360T
The stock AR636B Receiver with SAFE® technology that comes with the AeroScout is the one to use.
