My 2023 4R ORP is pulling my boat (3k lbs) perfectly fine. Never felt like I didn't have control. Like you, I wanted to make sure I gave a good cusion from the max capacity. Great video! 🤙🏼
I thoroughly enjoyed this review! Look at all the storage on that thing. I’m going from a dual console to a pontoon. I can’t wait until fiberglass and gel coat maintenance, bilge pumps, and tiny access hatches are a thing of the past!
The back ladder will dent the log. I have a 2007 Fishing Barge. It came with a 40 HP four stroke. I had a lot of trouble entering the Galien River from lake Michigan northern currents. Upgraded to a 90 HP two stroke. Put your navigation light up when You're done. It will fill up with water. I put two sets of guides on the trailer due to wind issues. I also have an aluminum deck. Treat for mice!!! They will get in your boat and chew up everything including the Bimini.
thanks for posting this video, super helpful. I have a deposit on the 2022 22' XP3 version of this boat and hoping it gets here by September, they are all backed up from Covid. but this is great to see how you use the space and some of the mods you've made. gets me excited to get out using it.
Nice walk through! I bought a 2021 last year. I went with the 150hp merc, but almost run my boat exactly the same way. I use 8 Scotty rod holders, 4 in front and 4 in back. Keep my planers in the same place and I replaced the 2 rod vertical holders with 4 rod holders! Cool to see someone else with almost identical equipment running the same way. Check out Taylor Made pontoon fenders. They attach to the side of the boat and stay there. No throwing them out at the docks. Taylor Made also makes a tent enclosure for $200 that covers the front of the boat perfect. Could fit 3 sleeping bags with room, 4 would be tight. Took my nephew on a couple day fish/camp trip last week. Pretty cool!
Great video. New pontoon owner here. So much good info. I wish you would’ve posted links to the products you have. The only thing you didn’t cover was an anchor system (or a power pole, etc.) but I guess ipilot take care of that.
thanks for checking out our video , as far as the anchor we have a 20lbs Richter anchor but we rarely ever use it , our trolling motor has spot lock and that usually holds the boat really good unless there is a strong ( 15 to 20 mph ) winds and then it struggles , at the time we made this video it was the first time posting on you tube and I didn't think about adding links to be honest lol , I will try and post links in the description of the loading ramp , trolling motor and fish finders , congrats on the new pontoon u will love it ,
I deal with Bowers for my boat too. Do you still have your pontoon? Any regrets or something you would have done different? I currently have a 2020 Pro Guide v175 wt. Bought it new from Bowers with the Pro XS 115. Love the boat, great for fishing, not all that great for taking family out for a day of recreation. I am beginning to look at pontoon boats for both fishing and family fun. Thanks for the video. gave me a good look at your Tracker.
@@tammybollman9556 Thank you. I appreciate the reply. I’m gonna check out your other vids with your boat. I see you go to Raystown to. I Just got back, was there for a week. Raystown is why I’m considering a pontoon. Do you have any issues with wake from larger boats, or does the pontoon handle it well?
Absolutely right, Sun Tracker does a horrible job at advertising these......this is the only walk through I've seen. Sun Tracker should give you a commission for this video. On a side note, if you only take into consideration fishing, do you like the pontoon for fishing, or would you rather get a v-hull type boat?
We traded in a 2008 Tahoe to get the fishing pontoon. The Tahoe was great for pulling a tube, not so great for fishing. We love how much storage and floor space the pontoon has.
One more question...have you ever used it for pulling tubes? I have 3 kids and they will want to tube.....maybe ski....just wondering if you have any thoughts on that with the 115 hp engine and 2 pontoons (as oppose to the 3 pontoon configuration).
We haven't but it would easily pull a tube or skis. We have seen alot of them pulling on the lake. It would be best to get one of the balls to keep the rope out of the water. A tri toon would make tighter turns and a 150 would be better if pulling a larger tube with multiple kids. It's plenty fast enough with the 115 for the kids but if you have some speed racers who like the rough rides they may prefer something faster.
That's a nice tracker. Looking to put my preorder in next week for my 22DLX. What type of truck do you use to pull your tracker. I have a Dodge Ram 1500, 4 X 4. Hope that will be enough power to pull it.
Thanks so much for your reply! We are lookin at purchasing the sylvan rear fishing pedestal seats and noticed not much of a lip on the bow. Is there a solution for it? Also, my local sporting goods store is recommending a 45" shaft. Is that to short?
45" seems on the shorter side in my opinion .... 55" is the shortest i have ever used on a pontoon ... as far as the lip ur refering to, is that on the front of the boat ?? We have a quick release mounted to the deck at our front door and the trolling motor mounts to that... if u have a full height front door on ur pontoon im not sure how that would work for mounting a trolling motor unless u keep the front door open which isnt ideal ... we got lucky and our front door is a half door
That's what I thought as well. The lip I am talking about is sylvan 8520 fish and cruise. I agree, The half door would be ideal. Thanks so much for helping me out!
We fish for the sport and the enjoyment. Using different types of lures and finding the right depths, the locations, what they are feeding on is a challenge and can be rewarding. We hunt and grow to put food on the table, we fish for sport. Personal choice.

Good review! I love my fishing pontoon. First boat I’ve owned that my wife wants to go with me. She relaxes while I fish.
That is awesome!

Thanks for watching , and congrats on the new pontoon , hopefully u get it before September. Covid really made a mess of things

Thanks for the tip on Taylor Made, we will definitely check them out, and thanks for checking out our video!
Just put my order in for mine at Cabela's. Hopefully it'll be delivered by mid September. So damn excited.
enjoy it, we love ours
Great walk-thru video....Suntracker builds nice pontoon boats!!

Just parked it to head home! No regrets and still no issues.

Loved your video. Can you show me how you wired your onboard charger to the batteries?
Sure thing! We won't get that video out for another 3 weeks ( We don't have our boat at our house, we have it stored at another location).
Hope this answers your question! th-cam.com/video/OgBhIccC-WY/w-d-xo.html

thank you, still have more to do.
I caught a couple of pound striped bass on this lure the first time I used it.
good job with the reviews
Thanks
Thanks for this!
glad you enjoyed it, we tried to cover everything.
I enjoyed your comments and explanations. The factory tours are not as helpful about what goes where. Thank you.

That should be plenty! That's what we have and we can barely tell it's behind us.
@@tneadventures3643 Ok cool. Thanks for the info. Boat is ordered and be on the water soon.
Thank you, love your boat!
Thanks for checking out our video !!!
Incredible 🎉 setup!!!! Watched your whole video with mouth open lol
One day… one day!!
Payments are around 400$ but we added the extras ...
@@mikebollman9906 thanks! Liked & subscribed look forward to your boating videos 🤙
Nice boat! What is the saft length on your minn kota?
60" shaft 24v 80lbs thrust minnkota
Great vid! Thanks :)
Great video Thanks for sharing !!!
I liked this good job
Great video! Thanks!
In more details for the rail rod storage setup please
Make your front bumper pads thicker and you won’t have to take off your trolling motor that’s what I did for mine
Thanks! Sounds like an easy enough fix.
I have a 20ft crest fish and ski. What mount and trolling motor do you have? Are you running a 24 volt?
We have a 60" 24v 80lbs thrust minnkota terrova
And the mount is just a minn kota quick detach mount
Love the video and your boat!
Thank you and thanks for checking out our video
Sorry about that horrible burn on your forearm😢
where did you get those black standup rod storage holders!
Some came with the suntracker and I made the others out of kingsboard that I ordered online.
Thanks I have a lowe pontoon with a fishing section in the rear would love to make them...
Would you be interested in selling the tabletop a d curtain with the top metal bar?
Rods, tackle for days but, don’t keep fish? Never go? I’m glad I don’t have to remove my trolling motor all the time. 🤔🤦🏻♂️
What year and model is this boat
Is that a 24v trolling lotor
Yes, 80lbs thrust 24v minnkota terrova 60" shaft
Question: I am looking at trolling motors for a Pontoon. What shaft length is best. Thank you!
60" shaft is the length we use and it does very well
Our trolling motor is also a 80lbs thrust 24 volt

What shaft length id the trolling motor to use on a pontoon boat?
We have a 60" shaft 24v 80 lbs thrust trolling motor on our pontoon and on windy days it deffinitly works our trolling motor .
What size shaft did you go with on the trolling motor?
Our trolling motor is a 80lbs thrust 60" shaft 24v
Should never trailer your pontoon with the cover on!
You keep on saying you don't keep fish, so why all the fishing gear just to throw them back. Must eat Gordons fish sticks, what a waste

Meh, tracker product.
