I always salute you sir what a beautiful teaching style so that a weak student like me is also understand in very simple way thank you so much for giving a quality educational videos Thanks Always
The two logic chip that does your display is the 74xx47 and the 74xx247 BCD-to-Seven-Seg Decoders/Driver. The 74xx247 have the same pin assignment as the 74xx47 but the 6 and 9 have your tails for those digit as you have demonstrated {The Top for 6 -'A' segment and Bottom for 9 - 'D' segment} . Both of those chips have the hex equivalent 10 through 15- "Display patterns for BCD input counts above 9 are unique symbols to authenticate input conditions.".
You just described how to drive a common cathod 7-segments. By reading the comments, I think that would be useful also to describe how can be driven if it's a common anode 7 segments.
so if i wanna display hexadecimal alphabets ranging from A - F, is it true that I'll need another group or set of 4-bit BCD to accommodate the number 10 - 15 ?
Thanks for the crystal clear explanation. I have a question, like the display of 9 numbers is the exact explanation of the problem or you have just taken it as an example, like in case of truth table.
Sir for making such led blinking ,we need coding like arduino.. So my request is that pls start (channel) of teaching arduino(how to use and how to do programming for different works..) with is helpful for us I hope a positive response from u
please upload videos on : Read-only memory, read/write memory - SRAM and DRAM, PLAs and their applications, Sequential PLDs and their applications, Introduction to field programmable gate arrays, PALs and their applications Converters : Analog to Digital Converter, Digital to Analog Converter
I wish I'd seen this before losing 50% on my 7 seg decoder assignment. I wasted all my time reading through textbooks and tutorials not understanding a thing when I could've just watched a 6 minute video.
Please clarify this : If decoder is opposite of encoder then the decoder must have only one output line as high at a time. If a decoder is designed this way is it even legit to call it a decoder??. Here , If the bcd (4bit) can be mapped to any representation then wont that violate the rules of encoder and decoder ?
didn't get this from one month of head cracking... my teacher is a God... finally I found a Human... thanks a lot
There's no god except allah (the god)
@@ahmedmoneimm 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@ahmedmoneimm you're right brother ❤️
No he isn't. A mere human can never be a God. Even if you mean metaphorically
@@ahmedmoneimm nice joke 🤣
Brilliant series of lectures in digital electronics. Well done! I would love to see your rendition on digital filters and DSP
Oo
Long live Neso Academy!
I love these videos so much! I was trying to figure this out for a long time and no other tutorial made sense!
Pretty good and straightforward description. Helped me get ready for my ECE lab!
Even foreigners are supporting u. Thats the power of india . Love isro love neso

Sir in your videos please explain common cathode and anode type and add or create new video for that with electrical schematic diagram for them
I'm forever grateful
excellent lesson thank you
Sir please do make videos based on VHDL Concepts...it will help us ..and thanks for your excellent presentation 👏 👍 😀 👌 🙌 🙂

Tank you for explanation.
For BCD 1 instead of BC can we write FE also .
You saved my a**
Good concept
thank you so much
You can also represent 11 using 7 segment display.
y de pronto un comentario en español, hablo español ...what's up, great tutorial!
Thank you.
Sir please can u make a video on water level system using seven segment diaplay
It would help us a lot

What is common cathode and common anode type
If I change the b3 b2 b1 b0 into A B C D does it still the same?
Thank you for this video but can you do seven segment Hexadecimal display decoder ?

Is it for common annode right?
can we put a b c .. g left side instead of right side.
what about for common anode?
