If I had an iPhone 15 already, then I wouldn't even bother with the upcoming iPhone 16. This already has that USB-C port. That's all I'd want from this vintage of phone. The AI is not very interesting to me, and I'd have to get a Canadian or Mexican model in order to get the SIM card tray.
@mstree9985 honestly it's very little upgrade every year... i don't really do anything that even pushes the 15's processor to the max. (then again, that's just me and my opinion)
I'd pick one of these up but for no more than say $630. Best Buy gives me a $200 sale and I''ll buy one because I don't care for refresh rates and AI feautures. Apple is nuts if they still think they can charge $800 for this phone
I have a 512 GB 14 pro max , I’m thinking of skipping the 16 series as well , it’s still got 95 % battery health , it still runs fine , it has the 120 HZ , camera still does a decent job, I can get by without the whizz bang AI features I think , in my neck of the woods ( straya) this is a 2.5 k purchase , I have my M1 16 GB MacBook Pro, so with a bit of luck I might still get to check out some of the AI stuff on the MacBook 😊.
Yeah, change phone if you have the money to burn or a vlogger getting money from reviewing phones. I used my 11 pro max for 4 yrs and bought 15 last week. My pro max is still hecking fine at 73% battery and will still keep using it
Never pay the newest iPhones $1599 price for 1TB. It’s a recent new model phone like honestly 11 pro max is meant for saving money the newest phone should always be worth it max storage $700 ish. A perfect $500 iPhone. 13 pro max. 14 pro max.
I bought the standard 15 about three weeks ago, I upgraded from the iPhone 11 Pro Max and for me it’s a decent upgrade such as the flatter design and usb type c. One thing I do miss is the stainless steel, premium feeling to the 15s softer aluminium
I currently have a 15 ProMax & the soonest that I’ll upgrade will be the 17 or 18 ProMax. I don’t see enough REAL EVERY DAY usable upgrades to warrant buying a 16 ProMax. If they implemented a real upgrade with the battery, ( 5,000 mah ), improved speakers over the 15 ProMax for Bluetooth music. These are some of the features that matter most to me.

Only about 2 months away. Not worth buying the 15. The 16 coming out in 2 months for the same price is going to be a better value, plus you will have a newer design. The 16 will probably retain the vertical cameras for some time, making it look more modern, plus with the newer a18 chip and AI.

After seeing the Apple event.... I feel a little short changed, since they went from A16 (iPhone 15) to A18 (iPhone 16). They definitely should've made an A17 that keeps the ai parts, but lower something else, for the iPhone 15.

@@nickackermanchannel yeah, but if you go for Iphone (and iOS is crazy smooth even on 5-6 years old devices, no denial), I'd say pay extra and choose Pro, just because of 120Hz. I don't think price difference is that big. And you're futureproofing your device, too. Look at what 13 Pro Max can do today, still at the top.
The issue with low power mode is not that it goes to 60hz, it’s that on devices with promotion it’s still variable and 60hz is the maximum, so it’s worse than locked 60.
@@nickackermanchannel devices with 60hz screens are always locked 60hz, it would be much better on pro devices if it also turned off variable refresh rate. Idk why they don’t do that, since I’m pretty sure it could be done entirely in software.
I have the 15 pro max, had it for a month and a half. Probably gonna get the 16 pro max when it comes out based on the upgrade. But for other people I think they should just wait. Because the iPhone 16 is gonna be out in no time. Also the ai is mostly only the 15 pro and newer so the basic 15 ain’t gonna get it. So yo should just wait got her 16. Because I bet the base model iphone 16 will get it, unlike the base model 15.
If you are buying Apple, you do not care what's in your pocket. "AI" is not available on any iPhone, that is why they changed the name to Apple Intelligence to avoid being sued. If you are 7 yrs old and want those custom emoji's, then maybe. As long as these run iOS, they will never be a viable option for useful AI.

If leading smartphone manufacturers care for environment then they should release new products once in two years only. Apple and Samsung stopped including charging bricks in the box citing environmental concerns. If these companies are sincere, they should stop the practice of releasing smartphones every year without any noticeable change.
I regret getting the base 15 as it has the same design as 13 and 14. It lacks all AI features despite having a capable chip, as all the features are exclusive to the A17 Pro chip.
My iPhone 12 mini needed a new screen and battery…the cost of repair plus travel as I’m not in a city with the Genius Bar’s is almost half the price of a new phone - so I bought the 15 Pro in Titanium Blue…No Regerts!! 🤣🤣
for some countries you have to wait until the market is full of iphones for several months otherwise they are going to cost much more then they should. In my country in is about November or December that's why I bought iphone 15 instead of waiting for 16

@@kuwaitipatroitic4274 it's pretty much the same camera (14 Pro sometimes has better results because of lidar sensor and zoom). Even side by side, you can't tell the difference. I could never go from 120hz to 60 so I don't get your "upgrade"

Thanks for the explanation, I noticed it can look super choppy on the pros, so much I never use the low power mode unless neccessary
