Jeremy is an amazingly astute and articulate source for these Bond book reviews! I highly enjoyed listening to you two go on about this incredible book, which I just finished for the first time!
I said this over in your fan debate on the film Dr. No, but I'll say it again: I think they could and should have done the confrontation with the giant squid in the movie!
SPOILER ALERT: I loved Ian Fleming’s fascination with deep sea life. Pitting 007 up against a giant squid! I can’t believe they left that out of the movie!
One of my favorite books. Although the movie stuck pretty close, the end of the book when he escapes his room makes me bite my nails. It is so intense. Wish they could've filmed that entire escape to when he finally finds her
Like FRWL Dr. No's novel and film compliment each other. Lack of squid, but they gave us a physical fight with No. Dent was a great addition to the story, his end being one of the series' highlights. Also nice to see Felix, even if he's only there to introduce movie-goers to the character. It's a case where neither the book or film surpass the other, and both are worth the consumption.
Jeremy Duns is an incredibly knowledge and erudite chap. A wonderful watch, thanks chaps.
Yes I can hear you

Sounds great. Omaha, nebraska.
You have my life David, even if only for a moment. Please enjoy!!!👍
Great video!
The giant squid had to have been inspired by Disney's 20.0000 leagues which came out in '54.
Thanks for great experience.
Top shelf Bond Fan 👍😄

Is there a positive counter for jealous? Cheers!
Hi David Steve from Canada
I just read Dr. No. In my mind's eye I saw Daniel Craig as Bond, not Connery.
