This is one of the very few Password episodes from that era where not just one, but BOTH celebrity guests are still alive! In almost all cases both have passed. Next common is where at least one has died; but in this case, they are both alive! Highly unusual at this time in June, 2021. Excellent show!

Still true in 2023. Also, both Nancy's dad Frank and Woody Allen were (at different times of course) married to the same woman.... Mia Farrow.

Nancy Sinatra was still pretty much unknown when this episode aired.
About six months later, Nancy became a major star thanks to her recording of "These Boots Are Made For Walking".
In fact, Nancy's miniskirts and thigh-high boots (which she wore in TV appearances to perform that song) have been her trademarks ever since.

But he was a great little cartoon character from Tex Avery & Co. over at MGM. That doleful little dog's first lines from the 1943 cartoon that introduced him, "Dumb-hounded," when he laconically turns just his head to address the movie-going audience directly: "Hel-lo all you happy people. You know what? I'm the hee-ro of this movie." And then he continues ambling along. Well, it being a Tex Avery cartoon, you know things just took off on a wild ride from there.

What in the hell was going on with the score board?! Whoever changed the numbers didn’t credit Bill Mc Carty for the first score he made of 10 points in the last game of that episode. The prat who was in charge of doing the numbers never did update the score. John Litton on the other side won the game so it didn’t become an issue, but it’s weird that no one seemed to notice the pretty whopping mistake. I thought people in the audience could see the respective scores. Allen kept up with the contestants’ real scores, but the dork in charge of changing the board either didn’t pay attention to what Allen was saying or couldn’t hear him. If I’d been in the audience I would have had no compunction shouting out ‘hey your score board doesn’t show the first ten points Bill Mc Carty made🙄

I didn't realize that Allen was so FULL of it. Annoying. One time it's "you play so well" and the next time it's "you're making up words". I guess back in the day people liked that banter.

He drives me crazy when he does that. His snarky facial expressions into the camera are just as bad. I don't know how the show got any non-celebrities to come on.

I never thought much of him. Seemed like an arrogant snob to me.

I wasn’t crazy about his condescending remarks when felt a clue or answer wasn’t good. Hey Allen, it’s easy when you know the answers!

He played pretty well but seemed depressed. Although he perked up when he heard his partner was studying psychology. 😄

That's the Woody I always saw - never thought he was funny or charming. Only neurotic.
