I miss Mel so much, I love how she was always one of the first to review a palette. Not just that she made one of most beautiful eyeshadow looks with any palette.

Lol although I don't think it's so hard and fast anymore. It's really just the influencers who only do makeup a certain way say that, at least as far as I can tell...
I always wondered why this is a "rule". I always do it anyways.....but what is the actual reason why people say not to? Can someone explain please.
Carla Dal Col I could ABSOLUTELY be wrong, but I thought it was the same idea of face highlight and contour... that mattes in the crease give the ‘contour’ and depth to the eye and shimmer pulls out the eye like a ‘highlight’ to the face?
EDIT: I also put shimmer and mattes wherever too lol. Because if you shouldn’t have shimmer in the crease then technically it seems one shouldn’t have an all matte eye look then either right? Based on the “rules”. 😂💁🏼♀️
You should have seen me in the nineties, shimmers and glitters hardcore all over the space between eyelashes and eyebrows in beige, gold, brown and sometimes really wild with a touch of green. It was heaven and so much fun! 😜😂😂😂
This palette is on sale at Sephora and I knew that I needed to get what your thoughts were on it before I made the plunge. I valued your opinion so much, I love your personality, and seeing your face on my feed always brought me such joy. I never connected more to someone on TH-cam, Mel you are missed more than you know.
What ever happened? I use to watch her a good bit and I think I remember her saying about her health wasn't the best but I never really knew what happened 😔

I would really appreciate your help! Which matte eyeshadow formula would you recommend, that is easy to work with? Price doesn’t matter. What do you think about viseart? I would really love to hear, what’s your opinion. I think matte shadows can be really hard to work with.

Huda has come out with some really nice colour stories this year. The neon green, the nude obsessions and now this. I think I may eventually get this but I really wan to spend money on other people for the rest of the year as well as shop my stash and finish some things. I don't purchase from Huda anymore, but out of all of her large pallets I still think Desert Dusk is the most beautiful one. This one just doesn't have an inspiring colour story. Mel always kills it with those amazing looks!! 💜

We get high prices here in Canada, too. $115 for the Tom Ford eyeshadow quads at Sephora. =:O
Same. I find her palettes frustrating the colours are so pretty but the formula annoys me given what they cost here and this one is even higher than normal at $115. Ultimately I'm not paying that for shadows that are temperamental. Maybe if it goes on sale at some point
I just checked it's not marked up on cult beauty and it qualifies for free shipping making it $15 cheaper than Aus Sephora if you are prepared to wait for it to get here from the UK
I saw it at Sephora the other day and couldn't resist. It's stunning. I wore it for the first time yesterday and got compliments at work ❤️
@@bendietrees it's extremely pretty it's the mark up that annoys me especially when I can order it from the UK and pay $98 with free delivery including taxes. They are charging $17 more than the rrp... the other large huda palettes are $99 so why is this one so inflated?

I had to get this. I think it's SO PRETTY. It's my first larger Huda palette.
I value that your energy is down to earth. Or what you exhibit in your videos. Some women have a hard time with aging, or maybe they were always a little odd, but their ego outshines them.

Mercury Retrograde got your first two looks! When Mercury is in retrograde, it’s supposed to interfere with communication, especially technology. ☺️ Thank you for this wonderful review. I absolutely love this palette. It is just perfection to me! I love every color, which is really rare. For the first time in history, I actually got two. I’m keeping one beautiful and untouched and the other, I’m going to go crazy with❣️
I love that I got this palette in her mystery bag!! The bag was $89 and it has this palette , summer solstice highlight palette, diamond lip balm, eyeliner , sponge , lip gloss, honey balm and a beautiful train case makeup bag. Just really good bang for ur buck. I’m happy I waited to get the palette. I have the rose gold remastered and it’s one of my favs. I’m happy to have this in my collection especially for $13 a item if u break it down so it’s worth it !

me went into sephora intended to get just the light nude.. and walked out with that AND mercury retrograde... i LOVE that light lavender colour in the middle SO MUCH!

I bought that palette for Nebula lol. I mean, I bought it for all the pretty colors but Nebula, the teals & pinks especially caught my eye. It's my first Huda palette & I love it. Idk why ppl are just blowing it off or not talking more about it, it is gorgeous.

Your comparison is exactly what I did in Sephora... If you had uploaded the video 1 hr earlier, I would not go and try by myself! In my opinion, this palette combines nude and fun. I will buy it!

The comparisons are also the top of your dedication about your work to help us in the case we possessed some palettes of Huda, for create some looks with similar eyeshadows of her palettes ( for example I think that if one person has the new mini nude light and the emerald or the sapphire palette could create looks with an ispiration of the new Mercury retrograde palette).

I was so disapointed, I bought this pallette and went to buy the ABH eyeshadow primer but they only had a mini size...so I went with the Fenty eye primer...maybe next time. Super excited to get this palette in 4 days !! I also agree beautiful inside and out

Love the second look. I am personally on a NO buy due to having over 60 pallets. I already have the Huda Nudes as well the mini blue, green and purple Huda pallets.
This is the last year I will be a Rouge, so I did buy the mini gold Natasha Denona. I love it so much I think I will exchange my mini nudes pallet, that I also bought, but them realized that I pretty much had those colors in the BIBA pallet. It’s a shame that Sephora does not carry the BIBA in store so it can be swatched.

A follow up comment. I was going to talk myself out of this pallet but I snagged one of those 100$ Sephora gift cards with my points, and picked it up. I love it and did not have any issues with the film you talked about, but, I’m glad the pallet worked out for you. I love the New Nudes and this one, the best, of all her pallets.

I love this look, beautiful and I just got some Sonia G brushes. I finally just picked this palette up yesterday. With our new reality living with the fluid situation of Covid-19, I needed a lift and some new makeup to replace some palettes that were past their prime. Thanks for the tips, I do not set my under eyes. I have been looking at this palette since it came out and finally decided to pick it up. I was upset with Sephora, but I decided to give the new plan a shot. Picked up a Fenty Fly Liner, two other palettes, and some other things. I will be working from home for a while, but hey we all need to feel good while we work through our current situation. I hadn’t planned on getting this, but when I went to Sephora for the holiday sale & saw it, it immediately went into my basket. The packaging & color story are beautiful!! I used it yesterday & loved the look. I did notice the colors you mentioned not going on well at first, but they did get better once I got that top layer off. I’m really glad I added this to my Huda collection! (Love all three looks you created!) ❤️
