Oh, the shopping escapades with my husband! We live pretty far away from shopping, so quite often we both go to save gas and time. Which means we both end up in stores we'd rather not visit. But we try to make each other laugh, or in the case of my husband, embarrass me. Yesterday I found myself in a hardware store for a very long time, so I found something that looked like an oversized "old school" phone receiver, came up behind him and pretended to talk to someone. He thought I was on my cell, but when he finally looked at me he just laughed. So, nothing groundbreaking, just fun. When our kids were young, my husband would get himself and the kids lined up all in a row behind me and start waddling like ducks. I usually wouldn't notice until I started realizing people were laughing at us! Turning the boring activities of life into fun memories!
My husband and I just laughed our way through!!! You can repeat this ANYTIME!!! Thanks! Oh and we DID need to empty the dryer. And yes our grannies did dress like that. He is 68 & I’m 62. We do remember that. Loved this!
I am quite a bit older than you Jennifer and I just have to share that I do remember my Grandma dressing like this. She would get up in the morning and put on her makeup, curl her hair, put on a dress and shoes with heels, and top the dress with a hand sewn apron. Then she would proceed to dust, mop floors, cook, and garden. I cannot recall ever seeing her in trousers! ~Connie

Oh my gosh, how funny! Between my 2 children, my 6 grandchildren and all of my nephews I could relate to almost all of these. My daughter has 4 children and getting everyone out the door in the morning is always a challenge, especially the shoe part. One time when they were traveling they got to their destination and the toddler had lost one of his shoes. Never found it. No idea where it went. He had both shoes on when they left the house.
