Same here! When I was little I felt like this was old people music, but at 56 years old, I'm not old but I do understand the lyrics and admire this woman Patsy Cline!
Patsy’s voice can’t be touched, there’s a depth and feeling behind her songs, that no one else has. She took country music to another level and made everyone give it the respect it deserved.
I love Patsy Cline that voice was so beautiful ,her and Loretta Lynn both had hard up bringing and early life , but poor Patsy was gone far to young gone but not forgotten
I'm 68 years old now. I grew up with rock and roll. You know, the Beatles,Rolling Stones and on into psychedelic music and hard rock. Never cared at all for country music, not at all. But one day, must have been in the '80s, I was sitting in a car with the radio playing when Sweet Dreams Of You came on. I felt literal chills run up my arms! I turned to my friend and said "Who the hell is THAT?" "PATSY CLINE" Now i knew. I immediately went out and bought a copy of her greatest hits. I'm in awe of her voice and have been s fan ever since.
Nobody can sing “ l fall tp pieces” like -Patsy Cline. She sings the song from her heart and that makes the song come to life.......that is the difference.
I have always loved Patsy! My Dad played her records often when I was a little girl. One of my favorite childhood memories is of my parents dancing to "Walking after Midnight". I still get chills to the opening strains of "Sweet Dreams". There will never be another Patsy Cline!
She is played by Beverly D'Angelo in the movie, Coal Miners Daughter. Her and Sissy both did all their own singing, and were wonderful. Spacek won an Academy award.
Best thing I've ever seen on Patsy Cline! My mother was a huge fan (as am I) so I've been listening to her since I was a girl (in the late 70's). She was a beautiful woman & just a phenomenal singer who was taken from us too soon.♥
Where's the button to give TWO thumbs up? Awesome video! Made me laugh, made me cry [true fact], made me sing-along... Patsy Cline, RIP, and God Bless her family and friends...
My great-grandmother was Patsy's cousin and lived with them when she was orphaned. I wish I had met her and Patsy but they passed before I was even born. I sure love the music.
Patsy will ALWAYS be the empress of country music. No other female country music singer can equal, much less, surpass her voice. Furthermore, she opened doors for female singers in the industry no other woman can claim to have done. Every woman in the business since Patsy owes her a debt of gratitude. She could silence the angels out of envy and respect.
I savored every second of this lovely presentation....it radiants love and respect for a woman who really deserves it. Yes, sometimes just the breath or the sigh makes her voice sound very near and close. Her singing offered such pleasure and warmth like a close friend you enjoy having in your life. I carry a piece of her in my heart at all times. Rest in peace you wonderful woman 😢
I almost didn't click on this, but I'm so glad I did. I've seen other Patsy Cline documentaries, but this one is exceptional. The personal testimonials from friends, fellow singers, husband and daughter really made the difference. I was shedding tears during her music performances. Patsy's voice, and songs, really pierce your heart. The people, who knew her, are so lucky to have known her. She must have been such a great and fun friend to be around. We are so lucky to have her music to this very day. Rest in peace, Miss Patsy Cline.
I don't know why the lord sends us an angel like her then takes her away and it's like your just standing there and saying to yourself what just happened, my lord the most beautiful voice and then just gone, R.I.P. Patsy.
I had fallen in love with Ms. Patsy Cline from the first time I heard her sing. I am so glad this documentary came across my feed. And to think I was going to save it to watch later. Shoot, I'm gald I changed my mind and played it immediately. I wondered the type of person Ms. Cline was and too listen to the interviews of those who knew her was insightful. The Willie Nelson interview was definitely eye opening cause I had no idea he had written a song that he'd given to her. It's one of my favorites. I sing it for Karoke. I didn't know at what age she was when killed in that crash but I imagine her singing with Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton had she lived. What a great show that would have been. ❤
Why am I just now seeing this!?!? My grandma sang Patsy to me when I was a baby... I'm about to be 41 and I still sing her songs and even when cleaning or whatever I'll play Patsy's hits on TH-cam. Fly high beauty! (Grandma as well)
She wad a pistol and took no shit from anybody. Her voice was amazing. One of the reasons why i first started listening to country music. Still love her .
my sister in law has got native american in her blood line she showed me a picture of her mum taken in the 60s i said did anyone ever tell u your mum is the dead spit of patsy cline she laughed said no i believe patsy had native american in her she has big lips too an dark eyes there will never be any woman can sing like her too my mum used to play her records when i was growing up glad she did what a singer patsy was rip mum an patsy ☺🤠💋❤💅💐🥀
In the 1990's I worked in Tucson AZ. My husband worked in Southern California until he retired. I would frequently drive to CA on a Friday night after work to spend time with him. I would often take my 6-7 yo grandson with me. Into the CD player would go a Patsy Cline! He and I would sing along. Then he grew up! He was with a friend as I remember, Patsy came on the radio. He was singing along. Friend wanted to know how he knew her songs. He explained and shared our memories. I'm now 83 and still LOVE her music 🎶. When she sings it's with such feel, you believe every word she days. I semi remember the day we heard her plane went down. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. We were ALL DEVASTATED! God Bless Patsy and those that perished with her. She's singing in the Angel Choir now. 🙏
I remember when I was growing up in the ‘80’s and my momma would pull out her Patsy Cline records and play them at night, especially after a break up. Her voice was just so beautiful and sad and even at that young age, she was touching my soul. I still listen to Patsy to this day ❤.
I’ve never heard anyone sing Shake, Rattle and Roll besidesElvis til now. This documentary was fun. She also sang the song Donna Butterworth sang cin one of Elvis’ movie, possibly titled “Won’t you please come home” So sad she died so young.
Amazingly talented young woman. My brother and I always say how fortunate we are, that our parents introduced us to the icons of the music industry. We grew up to appreciate these wonderful tunes, and artists. My brother gobbled up every ounce of talent in the family and is quite amazing as well! I don't know diddley, but I know what a winner sounds like! R.I.P. Patsy Cline

Folks like to say that flying is safer than driving on the ground. Maybe. But how many celebrities can we name who have died in plane crashes? Sadly, too many. And how many celebrities can you name who have died in car crashes? Some. But not many. With human beings in charge of design, engineering, maintenance, and flight, we human beings just need to stay where God put us: Out of the air and on the ground!
Fantastic documentary. This just was next on my feed but grabbed my attention. I only knew ‘Crazy’, didn’t realise how far back her career spanned. Thanks for posting.
I am 56 years old I still love her music she's one of the best singers in the world😊
And at 82 I feel the same way.

One really gutsy woman, who sang like an angel. She did have a lot of integrity and stood up for fellow people in the music industry.

I can't find the words to say how wonderful Patsy was. She is an EVERGREEN.
I was born the year after her death,I've always been a fan,she was quite possibly the greatest female vocalist I've ever heard.

It's sad to see such little response to this documentary. There'll never be another legendary Patsy Cline.

Nobody can sing the white woman's blues like her. She is the white Billy Holliday
You could have just said that she was great. But, I guess for a certain type of person, everything is about race. I think there's even a word for it.

I love the way she sang Crazy and Walking After Midnight. Beverly DeAngelo was the best Patsy Cline in Coal Miner's Daughter!🤫
Jessica Lange captured Patsy’s essence in Sweet Dreams.
Her husband was her biggest fan. ❤

Don't bother with this near 15mins in all I hears is her singing and I'm fed up, I would have got a cd if I wanted singing instead of talking...
The so-called documentary is just a lot of filler with her music. Get to the facts

no she wasn't! she is number one of all time.

Got that brassy remark from the wide-awake commenter like 5 comments above. We get it. Not your cup of tea. Bye
Her manager Randy agreed about her gruff , yodeling singing and he’s the one who made her slow down the tempo of her songs to reveal her true gift.
