Morning Stel, your pleasant persona and insightful presentation is indeed at great start to the day. Part of the issue, which still has not been addressed, is the signings by committee. It is deeply damaging and only promotes a scatter gun approach. It must be Steidten's decision and his alone. If he makes a mess of it, then he pays the price, but he's never been allowed to do his job.
Thanks for that compliment Paul Thing is Steidten did say that he was now in charge of transfers I think things have been slightly skewed - Sullivan will always get agents suggesting players and I dare say Lopetegui will have wanted to bring one or two players in That’s ok on both counts so long as they fit in with Steidten’s vision of which direction the team should be heading But for me overall Steidten’s selections leave a lot to be desired
Personally I think we are not worse with jlo than we would be with moyes. I think it is worth remembering the goals conceded, which was a record amount, plus the two matches against Bristol. Jlo is not the answer. Getting ride of S & B is
i agree and the worst thing that could happen is if we are now waiting for Moyes if he want's to come back. I still believe we should give JLo more time if we do not have a good replacement.
I’m beginning to think that var decision against Man U , was worse for us , cos it meant loppy staying, and Man U got rid of ETH and brought in Amorim, we on the other hand, well , we know what’s gone on since, so until sully grows a pair we’re stumbling from game to game.
However I want to avoid being the next club that changes manager twice a year.. I can´t for the life of me understand us keeping this coach if we get battered in the next 2 games.
Always interesting to hear your thoughts even though I don't always see things the same way, you have made a good summary, I am so disillusioned with the club at the moment, I don't think I have ever been so down about the football and the clubs future even when I watched us go up and Down from the 70's to 90's and after. One question for you though, and that is about Steidten being held accountable for Guillerme. How do we know that he is not ready for the Premiership now when he is not given the chance to prove he is or he isn't. Surely we need an answer to that first?
Thanks Neil As you know I always like to hear other perspectives - I’d be concerned if people thought my views were always correct Good question about Guilherme and you’re absolutely correct that if he isn’t given a chance we won’t know if he’s ready Perhaps we have yet another pragmatic manager / coach in Lopetegui who doesn’t believe as much in youth players?
It Doesn't Matter When He Goes Stel It's Whio They Bring In To Replace Him It Can't Be Another Version Of Loppy It Has To Be Someone Who Can Give Us Our Personality Back Someone Who Get Us Playing The Football Every West Ham Fan Knows We Can Play And That Won't Happen Until Sullivan Is Gone
I won’t lie James we as fans think we’re worthy of a guardiola The reality is we’ve probably had is as best we are going to have when we were managed by Moyes Don’t get me wrong Moyes’ time has come and gone but those top top managers simply don’t want to come To West Ham because they’re waiting for the Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City, type jobs to appear
As fans we must try to stay positive. I remember at the start of the season. It was give him until Christmas, we have also been without our best player for Kudos for three games of a five game ban. We must give our coach time to bed those ideas in. Antonio says it’s really hard to change the culture of the club.
Putting the choice in moyes hands and giving him a contract in spite of performances is the opposite of the right thing. Shows the lack of a vision there is
From my understanding the board wanted Moyes to stay but at the same time they were concerned as to how much money was lost in transfers - especially selling players for much less than what we bought them for Had Moyes agreed to the new contract the board would have been happy to keep him on
Thanks Stel. If Lopetegui is keeping his job from game to game, it suggests to me that the board are not only judging by results but also what they're seeing off the pitch, behind the scenes.
Another good summary Stelios, but worring times for the club. Too many fingers in the pie by the sound of things. The board meeting has not addressed the main problem here. Our next 3 games will drag us further down the table. A very hard job if another Manager comes on board. Injured new striker & suspension has added to the problems of our position in the league.
I agree the board meeting has resulted in nothing except for dragging things further on Will be a bad error of judgment if we do lose our next two or three games
Cheers Stel. One question that the can't Sullivan should ask the next potential coach is, 'Can you do a job with the players that we currently have?' 🤷🏼♂️⚒️
I would imagine Gary that this is indeed a question that might be asked - or put in a way of asking potential coaches what would you need to improve this team
Sullivan and co must believe in miracles how does loppy change results we are getting worse! This was the best time to change manager. But again we are to slow so the misery will continue. It's not going to be a happy Christmas at West Ham ☃️☃️⚒
This is West Ham all over just like an ostrich burying its head in the Ground. So it can't see the crap 💩 being served up. So much for the idea of Europe 🤣😂 I'm afraid the joke is on the fans ⚒
Good afternoon from sunny Cyprus sadly like always Sullivan will sit on his hands hoping it’ll get better, it won’t because yet again he made a massive mistake getting in JLo because it was a cheaper option but he’s massive ego won’t acknowledge another cock up he’s made. Sadly nothing will change till the ownership changes and in the meantime like the last 14yrs under Sullivan it’s 2 steps forward 9 steps back
@@WESTHAMVOICEI’ve been here 3.5yrs now so I must be 😂😂 seriously a decision should be made asap to get rid and get in someone else more capable as there’s still time to save our season a season that’s wide open but not Edin Terzić !! I’d go for Graham Potter/Andoni Iraola
Stel.. If Tim is responsible as technical director to decide the style of play and decide on transfers, surely it has to be Steidten that chooses the coach. All three things must be in harmony. I'm guessing they all chose some players, Sullivan chose Lopetgui. Who set the style of play, I'm unsure. Lopetegui's job is to coach the players he's got and he's clearly not doing that. Tim wasted money on the luxury of future players with Guillerme. That money was needed for the present. That's why we ended up with Fullkrug. It'd be interesting to know who chose him. 27m for an injury prone has been defies logic. I'm guessing that Lopetegui reports to Sullivan and Tim reports to Kretinski. If that's the case it's never going to work. People have got to be given clear responsibilities so they can be accountable if it goes wrong. It feels like it's a mess from the boardroom down and has filtered down to the pitch. Well we can't sack the board. What we can do is peaceful protests which I would participate in if I were there. As far as, Lopetgui is concerned he's failing at his job to coach the players he's got and must go. Unless Tim chooses the next coach he can't be responsible if it doesn't work out. West Ham need to invest a few million in finding a proper coach that will do the job or we'll have the same problem 6 months, down the road. A good coach can make you money by league positions. Steidten needs to explain why he spent the money on Fullkrug when we could have paid the price for Duran and one other player instead of on Fullkrug. A right bloody mess.
Cheers John My understanding is that no one reports into Kretinsky. I think people have taken out of context the recent Sullivan jr interview when he said kretinsky was involved in deciding who to bring to the club. That makes sense and why wouldn’t he? After all kretinsky is a shareholder. But Steidten reports into Sullivan Also I had it clarified that as far as lopetegui is concerned there are dual reporting lines into both Steidten and Sullivan Now to be honest dual reporting lines never work When it comes to player transfers, Sullivan will always have agents talking to him about players but from what I now understand Sullivan may pass those player suggestions on to Steidten to consider But rumours will suggest that Sullivan is more involved than what he really is
Let’s sit tight as churning managers leads to more instability. Not good for fans players culture of the club. No one is happy with the situation at the club. However I believe everyone is trying to pull in the same direction.
Loppy not to blame he is just deluded, Players not to blame they are just confused about what to do and how to do it. .. But, EVERYONE above manager level has a hand in this fuckery. Don't.fall for the he did this she.did that crap its irrelevant they ALL share the blame for this continuing disaster by not coming together and fixing it.
Don’t disagree everyone is culpable for this Lopetegui for his inept coaching Steidten for his inept transfers Sullivan for his inept managerial choice
Floppy isn’t going anywhere. Sullivan happy to float around keeping head above water in the Prem. He has no real ambition but the pound note. I don’t know why people bother with the speculation of a new coach it’s never gonna happen unless we are deep in relegation.
Well Sullivan spends whether we think otherwise or not.. just until now he hasn’t spent wisely hence why Steidten was brought in but it seems no better I agree that all these coaches linked are pointless but if things continue as they are Sullivan won’t risk us just above the relegation zone
Hi Stel - question for you during the pointless international break . I don’t know the answer but has sticking with the manager actually worked historically at West Ham? ⚒️

Yet more poor and weak leadership, nothing we haven’t seen before, Sullivan should run for Prime Minister 😉
my biggest transfer question is AWB.... did loppy ask for him? if he did why play him wing back? he's truly awful at it or did he ask for a right sided wing back and was given AWB, one of these statements is true, just which one?? either way someone naused up..massively. for the record i think AWB is a quality RB, yes he's positional sense at times is questionable even as a old school RB but RWB???? dear lord no
