Tip: For windows you can get the reusable Vinyl Window Films for window privacy. There are all kinds- frosted, patterned designs with various UV protection. I was thinking you could get the ones that look normal looking when looking out. However, when people look in they see a mirror reflection.

If you extend you curtain rod pasted the windows you can frame the the windows with the curtains without covering them. Adding them will give a pretty softness to the room and you can always pull the together if you want.

After working with interiors for many years..two tips...pull the chair a little from the corner, to give your room a sense of flow, and not a "dead-end corner feel. Also, while the dresser design compliments other elements, it is a distinct style that may look dated in a few years, something black with a little more transitional design may save you money years to come.
I think she needs 2 modern wing chairs with a small table between them and maybe an ottoman. Then she would have a relaxing place to read or use her phone or iPad.
Looking beautiful & I love the black framed windows. A ❤suggestion❤ on your nightstands….Chase could add the Black Matte Feet on bottom to bring the nightstand up a good 3 inches. With the ceilings so tall & the bed so grand - this will make the nightstands look larger. You want the top to level up to top of mattress. Which would mean you have to move up the mirrors too. Still absolutely looks beautiful. 🥰 Plants for Bedroom…..get some real Snake Plants. I promise you won’t kill them. They are a top night oxygen plant. And, Welcome Home. You guys made it through the build.

We moved into a new build a year ago and I didn't hang curtains in one of the bedrooms because the view out the window was so pretty with all the trees. However, when I did finally hang white linen curtains, it warmed up the space even more. Congrats on your new home, it's lovely and I know you are going to have so much fun decorating....Can't wait!

We have been living with our daughter for a year now, and are so beyond ready to move. I had to laugh when you said you were "old." I am 70 and my husband is 74. What a beautiful, calming space, I think you’ve got the perfect balance between the dark accents (windows, mirrors and dresser) and lighter bits - love it 😀 you’ll sleep well in that room
Get a massive long black rod that extends all the way across the window wall so it is only a few inches away from the connecting walls. Get cream or off white or white airy curtains that remain fully open and only cover the wall and not the windows. That is the main look but you can shut the curtains when needed.
That is a perfect idea. People usually make the mistake of hanging the curtain rod too low and the curtains too close to the window. Drapes do not need to close off a window at all if you extend the curtain rod to the sides at least 12”. Ashley has plenty of room to work with. I think some light and airy drapes would soften the room and visually take it up a notch.

It all looks great! I had curtains forever, but a couple of years ago got plantation shutters. Love, love, love them! The room always looks clean,airy and fresh and they pretty much darken the room, too! If you decide to go that route, study all of the options, and have more than one shutter company come give estimates and show you what they have.

Beautiful bedroom!!! For a gal that would love to mount her TV to the wall...I would if Chase can do step by step direction on how to install a TV to the wall. As I am not sure what kind of mounting bracket to buy, what screws to use, does this need to be stud mounted. So many questions that I would love to see step by step on how to do it accurately. Chase makes it look so darn easy.

I love your videos! On my days off I watch your videos while I cook and clean and I highly enjoy them all! Interestingly enough we got first house at the end of last year and moved in at the end of May this year. It was basically being built at the same time yours was (not a custom built though) so I am just like you trying to decorate the rooms and get my style right. Your idea about roller blinds for the bedroom windows sounds perfect! I would opt for blinds without curtains, to maintain a minimalist modern aesthetic. Although I used to associate old-fashioned roller blinds with Grandma's house, I fell in love with IKEA's adiustable, no-string, cellular blinds for our home. They were affordable, attractive and easy to use.
Its beautiful! Oh and vacuum was my sons 1st real word when he was starting to talk😂other then momma and daddy. He was obsessed with vacuums. Watch the vhs on my vac all the time and knew how to take it apart!
The room looks amazing Ashley! I am in Texas & have 3 huge windows like that, we opted for shades. I couldn’t bring myself to cover them. It’s awesome to open them up & get the beautiful view of the woods behind us. Many weekend morning we’ll grab our coffee & sit in bed to admire the view. If you don’t want to have curtains, maybe there’s a chic film you can put over them, so that you can see out but people can’t see in. Your outfit is super cute! Beautiful bedroom!!! For a gal that would love to mount her TV to the wall...I would if Chase can do step by step direction on how to install a TV to the wall. As I am not sure what kind of mounting bracket to buy, what screws to use, does this need to be stud mounted. So many questions that I would love to see step by step on how to do it accurately. Chase makes it look so darn easy.

I love your videos! On my days off I watch your videos while I cook and clean and I highly enjoy them all! Interestingly enough we got first house at the end of last year and moved in at the end of May this year. It was basically being built at the same time yours was (not a custom built though) so I am just like you trying to decorate the rooms and get my style right. Love seeing your decor videos as I work on mine too

Your idea about roller blinds for the bedroom windows sounds perfect!
I would opt for blinds without curtains, to maintain a minimalist modern aesthetic.
Although I used to associate old-fashioned roller blinds with Grandma's house, I fell in love with IKEA's adiustable, no-string, cellular blinds for our home.
They were affordable, attractive and easy to use.
Its beautiful! Oh and vacuum was my sons 1st real word when he was starting to talk😂other then momma and daddy. He was obsessed with vacuums. Watch the vhs on my vac all the time and knew how to take it apart!

The room looks amazing Ashley! I am in Texas & have 3 huge windows like that, we opted for shades. I couldn’t bring myself to cover them. It’s awesome to open them up & get the beautiful view of the woods behind us. Many weekend morning we’ll grab our coffee & sit in bed to admire the view. Enjoy the process of getting settled in your beautiful new home. 🏡

I agree that privacy is a must for me. I would add something to the windows. If you don’t want to have curtains, maybe there’s a chic film you can put over them, so that you can see out but people can’t see in. Your outfit is super cute! You’re beautiful, so you can wear a potato sack and still be gorgeous. Great job on the room!

It looks beautiful!..If I may suggest, maybe switching the blanket at the end of the bed, which is beige, may look better if you were to choose one that brought the colors together (black, beige and white). I do feel that the bed needs a touch of black to bring it all together. Other than that, it looks really airy and nice!! Congrats on your beautiful home!
