    That tape tip might be what I need. I have small hands and short fingers, so its hard to get the grip with my right hand. I have always had my right thumb in line with the grip, if that makes sense? Man I wish I could have a fitting with you. I feel like a fitting with someone like you would be a game changer.

    I’m obsessed with grip just now so this was very helpful Trottie thank you! I have been golfing from a young age and have just got back into the game. I have always used the baseball grip. I have just got my handicap back down to 2.9. Not sure if I should try interlocking at this late stage. We all know grip changes are super uncomfortable and I’m not sure what the advantages are of interlocking over baseball grip. Thanks 😎

    Awesome stuff Trottie been playing since I was 3 and play right handed but am lefthanded. My left hand grip changes all the time and I have never had power problems, but teachers are always trying to weaken my left hand to get me to hit it left to right. The trouble is my right gets too weak and I can't hit anything but a high right shot. Glad to see what I have always felt is much closer to right. What do you think of Moe Normans grip?

  • @nad91golf
    @nad91golf 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Trottie! Thank you for your video. I’m starting to playing again after an accident make me stop for 10 years because of my back injury. I’ve been recently fitted a whole set of new clubs and for a midsize Golf Pride grip. I have an interlock grip but I cannot put the right hand correctly. My right hand feel not comfortable and I get it strong and the V point way out of my right shoulder. My hand length is 8.3 inches. I watched the videos where you show the tour pros grips. Tiger, DJ, etc., if I understood well, all plays with a standard grip with some wraps additions. Why is that? I suppose they have at least the hands long as mines, but they don’t play midsize grips. Should I try to go down to a standard size with like 2 wraps and see if I still feel weird? Right now it’s like if my right hand pinky knuckle fights with my left index finger knuckle.

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you could have the grip too much in the palms opposed to the fingers, that's key when it then comes to which grip size you go for. The guys often build up tape for durometer, be sure to look out for that opposed to going straight midsize, it's another preference. I think you have to really try and get that club in the cradle (fingers) and then go from there. Tough to give much guidance beyond that without seeing you in person

    • @nad91golf
      @nad91golf 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trottiegolf thank you very much for your reply! I was thinking the same. Maybe I can’t feel the grip correctly in the fingers because it is too big. I know how to grip it correctly but if I did that right now it feels just really weird. I will try to experiment and practice with different minor sizes + wraps and see if I found the right for me. Thank you very much for your advice! It means a lot to me!
