I’ve just come across you on YT and have to say it’s been a revelation. I’ve been practicing some of your drills and so far my game is dramatically improving (currently 23 handicap). Thanks.
@@trottiegolf Based on your observations of amateurs: You recommend high handicappers use the armlock or broomstick style putter, since they tend to be unable to putt 'on line'?
How does one think 'move forward' without swaying or getting too much slide - so that the ball position /low point changes. I struggle with that ...as I know the swing is rotational but a pure rotation around the spine means not moving fwd....Can you help or do a video on this?? Thank you!
I do this without thinking when i'm under the gun. My go to shot (to ensure strike) has always been a 3/4 style shot, I still get full distance out of it because of better club delivery. Love this!!!
Great video, could you expand on how the right leg needs to be please as you start & complete the backswing? Asking as I have too much lateral movement. Thx👍
Play off a +2 and have been dangerously close to the hosel all year. No matter what I've tried, and trust me I've tried everything, I cannot get away from the heel.
Have you tried hitting it off the toe? I only ask because I had the exact same issue at the start of the season. Trying to hit off the toe seemed to fix whatever got out of sync.
@@saturdayshanks3753 yeah. I've tried lining up on the toe, lining up on the heel, standing taller, bending more, intentionally tryin to hit toe, intentionally shank, and to my astonishment I still manage to hit it heel side every time. It's shockingly how consistent I can hit it off the heel with drastically different setups/intentions
@@kourt2469 No, but in a study from last year, blades have nearly no drop-off in performance when hit closer to the heel than center. But, have a lot of drop off on toe misses. CB’s have more of a drop off in heel strikes compared to blades, but fare much better on toe strikes.
So question mr trot, everyone tells me I’m steep. Is hitting down 5-7 with a 7 iron what they mean, or is it simply my shaft angle on the down swing? Basically can you be on plane or shallow, and still hit down 5-7 or are the two directly related? No surprise but I’m good with irons crap with woods.
Your skill as an instructor almost equals that of your fitting skills.............thanks for all you bring us!

Rotate around a pivot point that's further forward for the right hander. So stable left leg and rotate around that.
Thank you. Great advice. 😊😊😊

Your thoughts on the KBS 120 $ taper iron shafts...
Many Tks..👍👍👍
It’s chewsday init. Cheers Trottie!
Always so good to see you hittin balls. I have the p770 and hit it 6300 spin. Is that too low?
Love your work Trottie 👊😎
nice video season begins in 2 weeks
Impressive!!
I’ve got 7, 8, and 9 as P7MBs. Wish I’d just got a whole set of MCs.
In my higher irons I have a tendency to get a lot of toe strikes. Should I have them changed to Up 1 degree?
How tall are you? Sounds like the shafts could be a fraction short
just when you get the tips... Trottie come through with the ONIONS

Might be good for you to play a blade
@@lawbinson the design on the back of the club ain't gonna change where I strike it 😂

Steep means path - you can be 7 down but swinging 8 degrees out to in. That would mean you’re steep
64 thousand, lol. The most spin in the history of spin, with a 7 iron. Cheers
64000 spin?😂
