- APACHE by The Shadows is the track that prompted many of the world’s greatest guitarists to go out and buy a guitar. Played by the wonderful, Hank Marvin, Apache is a track everyone should learn. If you want to give it a bash, download your ‘free’ Fennah Rob, paperwork here and get twanging! www.bluenotegu...
Fala muito.....!
Your ever so good at teach because I have not much confidence since my stroke as I’ve had to learn things again so I can’t play guitar as good as I could 20 years ago. So I really appreciate your kindness and the work you put in giving us access to the written notes thankyou.😊
Thank you very, very much, I've tried to watch other tutors, but they were analysing the fourth pentatonic scale in the fifth millennium in Greek so I gave up. You just explain and show, simply and clearly, how to play it. Brilliant Rob, you are the man.
Thank you for this beautiful lesson, especially the humour, which adds to the experience. Please keep the lessons coming, and thank you so much to encourage new guitarists to progress
Jerry lordan was the composer
Brilliant lesson.. thanks a million 🤟😎

Fantastic, one of the first lessons I had years ago., still love playing It. Any of the Shadows instrumentals would make great lessons. I also think Boom Boom and Smokestack Lightning would go down well too. Absolutely love you lessons. Without a doubt the best lessons on TH-cam

ok Thanks Rob. got it --appreciate ! Played Apache wrong for 50 years --now I got it right from you --grateful--
Thank you very much for this great lesson. The song is one of my favorites. Rhythmical not easy to play but you explained it very well. I have one suggestion: If you play on an e-guitar could you please tell us your setup on the amplifier you are using. The sound is very important, i think. We all want to sound authentic.
Set up for Apache is clean sound; repeat delay and some reverb. 🎸
Legend has it that Jerry London played it to hank Marvin and jet Harris on a banjo
Was having a go at this on bass a couple of weeks ago but will defo be having a go at this at the weekend- but every time you say Hank Marvin I feel like making a butty or something
This is brilliant Rob many thanks for this great British tune!🎶🇬🇧👍
One more from my bucketlist! Thanks, Rob. Really enjoy your lessons🙂

Nice job once again!
I knew Hank for a while and I played Apache on stage with my friend, he played backing and I played lead . I remember it well because after we came of stage we both said at the same time what key was you in and we were in two different keys but I think we played that badly the audience didn’t notice lol😊
🎸🤣🤣🏴👍🤣
