My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Karen elephant sanctuary out of Chaing Mai in February 2019. We also got to bath and feed the elephants. They are such beautiful creatures of nature.

In Thailand people wear masks even in very low risk situations not because of ignorance but because wearing masks has become normalised. We are all in it together to defeat Covid and Thailand has done far better than most other countries in the world. So nice to watch playing with elephants. I went to zoo yesterday and the zoo keeper told that elephants can be very dangerous if they sense that someone is little mean to them..Surprising. The elephants here paint a different picture.
It was an exhilarating & eternal experience for you. I love that elephant when he just disappeared under water while bathing. You know the fact that elephants find humans cute since we are tiny in front of them. (:
That's very nice. The elephants I've ever encountered lived in the wild in national parks in Africa. And it's best not to tangle with them. They show you unmistakable when you are too close and they attack you / your car / your bus, if you don't move immediately. They are the bosses and they make that very clear.

They are such beautiful animals . I remember riding them in Northern Thailand. A animal of great size could walk down a small trail that was very steep . It was incredible how they could do it so majestically. Thank you !

We visited Elephant sanctuary in Sri Lanka (in Candy) and got to feed baby elephants their bottle. We have been to Phuket but was not aware of elephant sanctuary 💕. Toronto is over 70% vaccinated with first shots, they are vaccinating age 12 and up. They just announced children will not go back to school until September.

That’s just an amazing experience! So many people will never get that one in their lives. Can we say “frolicking” with elephants? You can actually see the smiles in their eyes and shape of their mouths when they are pleased by your touch. Joyous sentient beings! You can imagine them saying “Thanks Alina! You have no idea how long I’ve been trying to reach that itchy spot on my back. Ahhhhh!!”
The very first real sanctuary in Thailand is "Elephant Nature Park" located in Chiang Mai. They rescued almost a hundred of injured elephants and many kinds of animal. They also have dog and cat kingdom as well. If you visit Chiang Mai I definitely recommend you this place. It"s the best and famous one in Thailand.
Did something like this once in India...was so much fun! Watching this brings back memories. Definitely going to go visit elephants again next time I visit that part of the world. Great video!
We took our 17-year-old daughter to one three years ago up in Chiang Mai. It was an amazing experience. I want to do a week long stay at one up there eventually.
