For a game built completely on the Game Boy, a tiny box, Mega Man World never seems to disappoint with it's high amount of detail, content, and FIRE music

Ballade is one of my favorite characters in the whole classic series. A character with a neat design and a pretty simple yet effective arc. Being a robot designed to destroy Megaman, who ultimately sacrifices himself to save him.
Sometimes I feel like Bass was created to be a replacement for Ballade 😅
I really appreciate giving this its own video! Too many channels rush through series's in one video these days and you never really get a full look at them, and I've never seen anyone really give this game the time of day! Best of luck keeping on man!

DUDE! I actually had that in the original script! I ended up scrapping it because I didn't like the way it sounded in the final product
Ballade is my favourite of all the Robot Masters (except Proto Man, but he's my favourite fictional character ever, so he gets a free pass) his tragic tale from powerful ignorant asshat, being forced to enter a stronger form to match the one he deems inferior to ultimately seeing the error of his ways and sacrificing himself for a greater cause, plus his theme song in Mega Man 10, Farewell to Ballade, is such a tragic sounding song. And I guess he's now a Gigachad. neat
Also the Wily Iron Robo Golem goes way harder than it needs to and is epic and I can't wait for Mega Man V to be covered.

At this point, Mega man’s gotta be thinking “Ah shit, here we go again.”
So I do this every once in a while but I just wanted to say thank you and say what a positive impact your videos have had on my life. I have been going through a difficult time for the past 6 months. I lost my job and have been struggling to get a new one and have been worried about my family and how I am going to pay for things and such. I have had night terrors about both working a job I do not like and not working at all and everyone like not getting along or getting kicked out and being homeless. It was all I could think about for a while and all I could really do between filling out applications and trying to get into work programs is like try to find something new on youtube to watch and concentrate on.
I only discovered them a little over a month ago but your videos and in particular this one have been able to help me switch my brain off and like laughing. Particularly love the "P" running gag in this one (especially Dr. Light's frantic rant at the beginning) and the follow up on the Gigachad plotline (and the sunglasses). It is like not necessarily high humor but you know that is really not what I need/still need. I am doing better now (got a job lined up that I start at, have some training for IT and have a plan to use one to help start the other) but you know still worried something might go wrong before things get started or like anxiety about work and stuff. Currently my go to when I am trying to relax or especially sleep is turn on this weird ass loop of your videos so I can listen to various parts of the plots and your jokes while I try to sleep (and don't get woken up by the YT algorithm being weird and putting on something that will cause me to panic awake). I know like a lot of people don't like hearing "hey yeah I fall asleep to them" but it really is like I need something I enjoy and listen to to fall asleep to as opposed to like something that I just tune out. And I often check out this one, your other gameboy ones or anything from the "Bass saga" (8 is particularly funny I love EVERYTHING you did with King) and I am eagerly hoping that you will add another one of these videos.
Like thank you for like helping me get through this really trying time in my life and being like so funny and telling such a good plot line (seriously it is AMAZING to me) and I really hope you do more in the future. Because yeah, you are making a difference here, if that matters to you.
Also it is a great way to just experience Megaman because IDK if I am skilled enough to actually play it or the X series.
Philosophers, to this day, STILL cannot deduce the meaning of the P in P-Chips.
Thanks to this video I have never been able to refer to the Energy Balancer without also adding "that Pwoto Man keeps stealing fwom me" and I'm honestly really thankful for that

Having the weapons in the first half help you navigate the stages in the second half? An awesome idea. And yeah, I hadn't realized they added upgrades over time for the Mega Man games during and after this one. Cool to learn this is where it started! Also, the screen crunch actually makes Power Stone good!
Also... holy crap, your continuity is amazing. If I were to ever get into TH-cam, I'd wanna do something like how you do videos. I'd wondered how I'd use my avatar character for more than just being my mouthpiece. Seems you'd helped me square that circle, so to speak -- have her be her own character, duhhh.

For years that was the only one I knew. Glad I played the other four. I can now confidently state that 1 is the worst and 5 is the best, and they all increase in quality and rank. You don't see that a lot in game franchises.

I'm glad I got this on my 3ds. This game is impressive on a technical level! I can't help but wonder if animation of this quality could be reproduced on the NES? Something tells me the gameboy-sorry, Baldboy is more power than the NES.

The Energy Balancer joke got me! It also made me realize that, yeah, the lore totally supports the idea that Proto Man would steal devices to regulate energy.
6:42 I'm conflicted about this because..
It feels very rewarding to beat hard levels after being forced to get good at them, making the experience on failed attempts in itself part of the progress the player is making.
Meanwhile P Chips and Screws make the progression more literal and resource based rather than experience based.
I think I prefer saying "At least now I know not to make that mistake again" rather than "At least I got some P so I can return with more E"
