I saw Ocean Colour Scene support Jesus Jones in 1991. They were shoe gazers, and they were shite. 5:40 not Cap'n Bob's finest hour. But there you go. Not everything was brilliant in the 90s lol Metallica a case in point. Although Jason's growls were still amazin' 7:50 Chris knew the truth. And you know he really did pay proper homage to the actual legends.
Finish early on a Friday, drive like a lunatic to get home, tea shower splash of Brut and Ralph Lauren shirt on, jump the back fence to my best friends house to watch this with a can of Red Stripe and then into town, Lichfield, to act a right twat...... great times!! 😎
When I uploaded that video many years ago the Soulwax track was going to be a separate upload, but when I was transferring VHS to DVD I was to slow to stop recording and just left it running. I did see Soulwax at Dingwalls in Camden around that time and they were Fantastic that night I see them to a very unappreciated crowd too sadly.
I took it for granted at the time, but it was a great blummin' show. No-one's really come close since have they?
