Just be sure to check at least every 12 hours because they will go from under ripe, to over ripe very quickly. That flour the surface, oil your hands trick is very old. That's how I was taught by my grandmother, as was she her mother, etc., as far back as anyone can remember. It's not only an Amish trick. It's just sensible.

If you add a tablespoon or so of baking soda to your water while boiling eggs they will peel easily,fresh eggs included. To keep lettuce crisp and fresh,store in a mason jar.
None of these suggestions are hardly secret hints of the Amish. My mother taught me most of these hacks years ago. She learned them from her mother. Neither were Amish or even lived anywhere near the Amish.

Add any eggs to cold eggs to boiling salted water boil 9 minutes cool in ice water they will peel great every time❤
