For whatever reason, I find myself looking through the various Euro comfort staples videos, and wish to thank you for adding your variation of the theme to the list! Thank You! Those look great!
My tribal Hungarian grandmother's recipe is very similar(just beef, no onions, partially cooked rice, rinced and squeezed kraut, cooked in tomato juice)so I don't know if you could really claim that as German, lolz But I I'll tell you one thing if you freeze that cabbage raw it will never get tender. I know because my Grannie tried it when she was too tired to boil and even though we baked it all day it never did get tender : (
I never use Onions or Garlic to mine! Just rice, Hamburger, salt and pepper! Then I use Home canned tomatoes with Water then Put Saurkraut in the bottom of my pan with the Tomatoes, also any small leftover cabbage leaves! Add Water! I cook them both in the oven or in A big pot on the stove! Works either way!
Parboiled rice is added to the meat mix, prior to cooking, and finishes cooking as the rolls bake off. Used to do a Lazy man's Cabbage Roll Casserole, half-cooking the rice, adding in the Tomato based sauce and sauerkraut, to whatever ground meat was on sale, and simply putting it all into a baking dish, adding some more Tomato Sauce on it and baking it that way. Spices as desired. Couple slices of that were a decent meal, and was cheap as heck!
I never thought about freezing them !

When is the pretzel recipe video coming out?
Is there a written recipe posted somewhere?
Where does the rice come into play? 🤷🏻♀️

Sorry but I don't like the way you are making them. I make them the polish way.
Sorry, I don´t like the way that the Poles make them. Hungarian way is better.
