This was by far the best version/performance he ever made of this song. The vocals sounded so natural & his accompanists were superb. He had an excellent band behind him during this point in his career. I regret that I never saw him perform when he was alive in his prime. May he rest in peace for all the joy & positive energy he provided his audience & fans.
This song is such a simple one, yet so powerful. It shows how basic straight forward lyrics and melodies rule the music world. Unforgettable, timeless, truthful piece of country and western sound and Glen's incredible vocals. Where are the new songs this great?
Cranked up in my Prius, this really sounds. Fond of GC and Tanya Tucker before and after their association and in their association. Not sure what to say about the two of them.. They are my two favorite country stars besides Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. And my favorite is Johnny Cash whom I saw at Opryland USA in his final days. Be well all. We are in some Tall Shadows.
Great song ! Type in "Ron Howard cover" listen to Opie sing "The Dance"! To all of us who have lost loved ones "Life goes that fast, and we will see them again that soon"! R.I.P.Glenn
He composed the original version of Turn Around Look At Me in 1961 and it was his first solo single . It was covered by many other artists and groups over the years . He did a first class remake of it in the early 2000s on The Legacy . He is reknowned as a composer and multi instrumentalist as well as a vocalist .
When this was on the charts my mother said this song was more Christian than most of the songs we sang in church.
Good comment and insight by your mother.
Absolutely right 🙏🏼❤️
She must have been a wise woman!
Jesus said to slaves "Obey your masters even the cruel ones", that's the christian kindness.... thanks, I'd rather pass such kindness.
I think Glenn Campbell plays the greatest songs ever
Nah
Glen is just a talent that keeps on giving in a phenomenal way - even during a pandemic. Thanks
Campbell is the best guitarist in the world
Stop
After he died Alice Cooper said Eddie Van Halen contacted him and wondered if Alice could help him get a guitar lesson from Glen
Now more than ever we need to hear this and be reminded how we all need each other.

Glen Campbell never wrote a song in his life. Bobby Austin wrote it. Bobby also wrote Apartment #9.
***** its true, tho---all good

+Duncan Black Glen is more gifted in writing then you will ever know. He may not have been a lyricist but he is a musical genius.
Maybe not, but he sure sang them with the right sentiment.
God Bless you sir!
Wrong Dude
Great Song but the sound isn't mixed correctly. The drums sound like they have never been tuned and not mic'd right! Sound horrible!
