I'm moving into a planner that I designed myself with the look of developing and selling in the new year. It's a quarterly planner with monthlies, weeklies and dailies
I appreciate all your planner hopping Julie, let's us see lots of options! I finally landed on building my own 6-month 7x9 EC Canvas vertical on one of their notebook coils with dot grid pages in the back, and using a daily sheet that I clip in front. That way I get every view (D-W-M) on the EC paper, but it's lightweight and easy to carry around.
I’m sticking with my PPP 7X9 Vertical Priorities. I got the new version with no color. Nice! I’m retired. I found that if I carry my planner into bed with me I will look at it first thing every morning. I get stuff done! But leaving it on my desk, in the other room, turns it into a useless paperweight.
I’m a HP girl all the way, but may get an EC or Plum Paper for work planner next year. I like the idea of flipping a planner on one side so it doesn’t take up my whole desk
I planner hopped so much the beginning of this year. I'm very content now with my pocket daily Moleskine and a 7x9 EC horizontal that stays home and has all my bill/budget stuff.
I’m all over the place. I have the Hobo cousin and weeks mega for when I’m on the road all day. I carry my trusty discbound half letter notebook and now I’m grabbing undated daily inserts to plan out a day on the go. My biggest investment was the discbound system so for the remainder of the year I’m going to use every insert I have and will likely do that for 2024. My favorite insets are Cloth and Paper and Infinite Lotus. Stylish and minimal design
I LOVE my EC planners but I am trying Agendio journal size for the next 6 months. I was able to put a monthly, weekly and daily spreads into 1planner. I still had to get my EC fix so I ordered a monthly planner for work along with a monthly petite planner to be my on the go.
I'm a calendar year girl, but I definitely get the itch to switch this time of year. I am in love with my A5 DD, but like you, devastated that Canvas isn't an option. Also like you, I'm considering using the 7x9 Canvas DD as my all in one, but holding out to see if they magically decide to expand the Focused line for calendar year.
Absolutely with you on the EC A5 struggle bus! Like WTH? Opted for Plum Paper weekly/hourly in A5, but I’m holding on to hope that EC realizes their error and brings it back!
I’m trying the hourly for the first time, so I hope I like it. The changes was the reason I decided to try. I also tried the daily duo last year and I actually like it, but I also think it’s a bit too big, and would love an A5 in the canvas. I hope the hourly works for me, the dd was by far the most functional for me. ❤
I don’t have a lot going on in the summer so I just been using a fitness weekly. But in august, with school duties, I will go back with my Go Getter Girl- it’s awesome! Monthly , weekly and daily In one
Staying put in my current planner because I am trying out digital planning for my teacher. Lesson plans are for homeschooling and if I get a paper planner for my daily life, then I’m gonna wanna paper teacher planner but I really want another plum paper planner after seeing yours.
I love my happy planner. Tried Erin Condren but I can’t customize it and it’s very expensive. I also tried the reflections brand. I went back to Happy Planner.
Going with the EC DD in A5 Wildflowers. Closest I could get to the Canvas but in a coil. Been using the A5 DD the last couple f years and it works for me. Only bummer is EC doesn’t provide as many cover options in that size. As you say “make it make sense”!
Great video, Julie. I am going to continue using my Plum Paper ME 7x9 for weekly. I haven’t decided yet if I will stay in my EC Daily Petite or go back to A5 Daily Duo. I flip between these 2, especially because I carry other petite books with me too so the folio helps with that. 😑
I have been bullet journalling for the first half of the year and it worked fantastically, except I was going through an A5 book every two months because I was including my journalling. So for July I'm moving to the Sterling Ink dated B6 Common Planner and using her A6 notebook for my journalling. I don't like coils or disks 😅
Great video! I'm trying the Sterling Ink Common Planner starting in July but also looking at the Daily Hourly Plum Paper in A5 size...maybe for work? So many great options! Welcome to Texas! 😊
I love all the planner chat! I have been using a 7x9 daily duo for the first half of the year because I was trying to use only one planner instead of a weekly and a daily. However, by March I realized I needed my vertical weekly so I can see my week at a glance when I am in my office. But, when I use a weekly, I only use the daily planning pages in my daily...so I would like to go back to the A5 for the daily...but I have a 7x9 right now, so that is what I am using. But you are right, 2 7x9 planners are quite a lot. I am still holding out hope that they release canvas in A5 daily size during their fall launch 🤞🏻
I also wanted 7x9 daily duo to be my one and only... it worked for a few months. Then when they had all the sales I got the A5 compact vertical. I love it! No pressure to decorate each day. I just don't need 7x9 space daily! I'm hoping the Weeks size Horizontal Common Planner will be my one and only next year!
I think you should use that 7x9 planner because your heart loves it and it’s gorgeous! I recently bought a Hobonichi cousin spring edition, so I’ll be staying in that for the remainder of the year…hopefully….fingers 🤞🏽 crossed…😅
I'm using an EC A5 Horizontal LifePlanner, & starting in August, I have the 7x9 Horizontal LifePlanner. I use both for gratitude and writing down what I did each day
I Love the A5 size also. I am trying for the first time the EC agenda starting in July. I am so excited to get into it, love the ability to customize it however I need.
I know what you mean about having two 7x9 planners! I started out the year with an EC hourly 7x9, and the daily duo 7x9 and exactly what you said lol. I ended up not using the weekly planner as much and just use the notes page as a week at a glance. For July. I'm so excited to start a plum paper vertical priorities, and I switched my daily duo to the A5 size. I love that you planer hop and share everything along the way!
You influenced me to try the EC Hourly last year and I haven’t looked back. I’m on travel for work right now but my new hourly is at my house waiting for me! ❤
I'm a calendar year planner. I use a Mom Agenda weekly, which has been totally ignored the last 2 months, and a Hobonichi weeks for my carry. I'm now pen only in the weeks. Summer...
Moving into Plum Paper Daily A5 from Erin Condren 7x9. I love the customizable design. For the cost of EC I was able to get the Plum Paper with budget, extra lined pages and To do lists dispersed for a year. Rachelle in Seattle
I bought a simplified planner after seeing the change from horizontally stacked saturday/sunday to vertical stacked saturday/sunday. BUT then I got sucked in by EC's extra notes page and the monthly dashboard in the daily duo so I'm going to try out the A5 daily duo for the next few months. I'd been using the makselife flagship but I really need a daily.
Sigh. I’ve been in the hobo weeks for the monthly forward planning and daily lists on the back. Not pretty, mostly black pen. Goes in my purse. Sterling Ink B6 for the everything planner, but I prefer the heftier EC paper! EC coiled notebook is my budget and expense book, and another EC or Plum paper a5 notebook May become my daily list. As you said, the EC paper can’t be beat.
I’m going into the Personal Planner!! It has a great hourly layout and other options on the most awesome paper. The planner I choose is a 5x7, but there are other options. I like to change planners. The hobo cousin is my current planner until the new one comes!!
I'm sticking with my A5 Daily Duo and my flagship vertical Makselife. I could easily give up the Makselife at this point, but I have stickers for it for the rest of this year so I just use it mainly as a creative outlet. Next year my plan is to be strictly in an A5 Daily Duo.
Love EC notebooks, but can't now go past hobonichi weeks and cousin. Use the daily for gratitude, and the weekly for planning, and monthly for money tracking. Weeks is for health, fitness and daily reminders cause I can bring it with me. I used to use plum paper. Hope your move is safe and goes well. ❤
I’ve been planner flipping all year and it’s driving me crazy. Right now my july plan is the EC a5 wildflowers daily duo for personal and the wonderland 222 for work. It’s working well for me since I just started a new job last week. But I feel like even the a5 is too big for my personal needs while I’m working but I imagine it will get filled in more once kids start back to school in the fall. (Notice I can’t even write a comment without doubting my lineup? The struggle is real! )
I am setting up my EC 7x9 Canvas hourly for July, plus I'm continuing to use my Creffective Traveler's Notebook printables in the standard size for daily planning. I'm a little late to the TN party, but it's so portable and customizable.
I'm in the same quandary - I love the idea of the A5 planner, but I have SO many covers in the 7x9 and don't want to start over, and I also LOVE the Canvas, but I hate how heavy they are. So, I'm sitting here spinning in circles over what to do, asking myself if I'd want to go back to binder so I can get the Daily in Canvas. Why EC...why??
I might have missed something along the way, but what happened with your job? Will you be able to work virtually? This was such a fun chat, I hope you will vlog your journey to Texas. I am currently in the Hill Country as well!. Have loved your past vlogs. I am most comfortable in a larger format planner, my 7X9 Etta Vee is the bomb. I also purchased 2 customized EC A5's to use as Commonplace notebooks. Best of luck to your family!
@@JuliesPlans Hi Julie, please don't think I was trying to pry, because I wasn't! But you usually mention when you schedule meetings or are working from home. I actually moved into a Half Letter disc system with all neutral inserts. So disappointed that EC did not offer Canvas in the A5 coil nor the Monthly. I switched my Budget planner to classic discs as well.
Me too! I’m still using the Hobo Cousin for work (I REALLY need the weekly/daily/monthly in one book), but I’m looking to add an additional planner for a separate project, and I need mostly weekly and monthly. My idea would be: EC A5 coiled compact vertical with Canvas pages and Wildflower tabs. But since I can’t get Canvas coiled pages in A5, I was so annoyed that I decided to redate a coiled planner from 2022 from Cloth & Paper. I LOVE EC paper, but I really don’t like the Inspire or Wildflower designs this year - I haaaaate the font on the Wildflower pages. I’m tired of compromising with EC, so until I get a TRUE neutral in A5, I’m giving up.
I bought the hobonichi cousin avec this year, so I am forcing myself to start the second book instead of swapping to a b6 stm which is what I really want to do. But when the shipping from Japan is the same cost as the planner I can't waste 6 months of dated planner just because I have itchy feet..
I'm using the EC A5 Compact Vertical. It's almost too small, so I'm debating what to do. I've only used EC. I've checked out Plum Paper, but I know that the EC paper is the best! Does anyone know how the PP planner pages compare to EC?
Plum paper should give you a commission. I bought the weekly and the new daily layout not sure if it’s going to work. But the DD has so much wasted space - if they just got rid of the calendar. 😂
My catch-all is a5 compact vertical. It's my all-time favorite layout.
