I’m a big everglow fan and agree with you. I can’t really judge Onda because the short lines she’s given. But I truly believe Aisha deserves to be lead vocalist + her lead rapper position. I noticed she’s always included in that little vocal subunit with Mia and Sihyeon. I think that speaks volume. Plus, did you her sing uptown funk at their recent tour? Amazing tone
Aisha deserves her lead vocal position cause she's working hard for it and on Weekly Idol they literally called Mia, Sihyeon, and Aisha the vocal sub unit which I'm pretty sure means she's apart of Everglows Main Vocal Line
Alexander Z. That’s what I’m saying. I find it strange that Aisha is just listed as a “vocalist” when she’s constantly singing with that subunit. I would like to hear all of them singing more acoustic type stuff to get a feel for their voice, technique etc.
I don't think she's at lead vocal level, but she's definitely the 3rd best one. Maybe in some years since she's been improving every comeback

Honestly Sihyeon has been improving her vocals SO MUCH lately, I'm so proud of her. Her live stability got so much better in Dun Dun era compared to Adios. And I've noticed that Yuehua is exploring her high notes a lot. She's the one who sings all the high notes from their Player bside, for example, and she served perfect high notes during their Uptown Funk cover performed in the US concerts. Also she was the main vocal during their Poker Face cover performance. It's really clear that her vocal skills are getting so much better, for me she's becoming a main vocal material.

Hana i love everglow but their dances are pretty easy to be a dance group. I honestly think that they are more like a rap group. EU is an amazing rapper and aisha is pretty good like rapper. Furthermore onda is not bad at rap and even Sihyeon in this comeback did at little rap and she has potential. I haven’t heard Yiren !
@@User63909 i half agree, i think everglows dances are simple yet enjoyable and fun, and i completely agree with the rap part, we just havent heard enough rapping to really categorize them as a rap group. but nevertheless atan everglow :)

I've noticed that 4 generation girl groups lack in the vocal and stability department and they relay on playback mostly. They are all great dancers but they don't have even one extraordinary vocalist. Gidle is alright but even their main vocalist isn't that amazing
I agree, all of them are more focused on performance. the only rookies I see that have strong vocalists are Cherry Bullet, Bvndit, Iz*one, Loona, Cignature and Craxy. Specially Bvndit, all of the are really great. Cherry Bullet are also really great. Iz*one, Loona and Cignature have a great vocal line but the other vocalists need to improve. Craxy also have a great vocal line and the other members are rappers, I'd say they're more focused on rap.
Thought I was the only one, cherry bullet is amazing though! In the third gen, it was like the battle of who's better

I’ve been saying Aisha is the lead vocalist of Everglow not Onda. Aisha is like Joy she’s a rapper who can sing very well. Onda is a good singer but if we’re being completely honest she isn’t better than Aisha.

Also, Mia, Shieyon and Aisha got paired up twice to sing together how comes Onda the lead vocalist didn’t sing Havana with them when they debuted or that cover song they did over a week ago. I think people need to accept that Aisha is the third vocalist of the group.

i think the members could definitely improve especially e:u, aisha, onda, and yiren, they haven’t been showcasing their vocals yet due to the line distribution as well, ex: yiren only whispers/shouts in adios and dun dun, she barely does it live, so people thinks she’s a bad vocalist

Let’s be honest. Everglow is not a vocal powerhouse. They rely on stage presence, visual, and their music. I think aisha, sihyeon, Mia and yena (now izone) were in the vocal line. But unfortunately ( for everglow) she is now in izone; all the responsibilities fell into Mia and sihyeon because aisha was given to take the rap position. None of the vocalist in everglow is not a vocal powerhouse like in other group but they are good. And I don’t think having a good main vocalist means to have a good song. Look at blackpink, twice, itzy, gidle ( no hate tho) none of these groups have amazing big powerhouse vocalist like in some other underrated groups but they are still thriving. What more important is what kind of music they create and how they execute them. The star quality is also important. And for me, I think I haven’t seen the full potential of these girls. Aisha and EU can definitely sing but they only rap lol. Sihyeon shocked me with her vocals this comeback but still not sure about her live singing skill. Mia is good but sometimes it’s nasally like rose which is kinda unbearable but I think she has better technique and control. I don’t know how high she can sing but she had decently especially with her low notes and falsettos. Yiren definitely needs training. I know she has it but she needs training. Idk onda might have the potential after seeing her pre debuts live vocals but sadly her voice is too cutesy just like yiren and it doesn’t suit their concept. I hope everglow goes back to r&b style , where everyone get to sing like in bbc. If yena joins she will definitely be main or lead vocals and I think when she joins, the vocal hole that everglow is facing will vanish.

I personally think that Sihyeon is an amazing Lead Vocalist. Her voice might not be as powerful as Mia’s but she is still very good. Her voice is very soothing and calming.
I also think that Onda is great at singing, I just hope that she gets more lines next time, because she is good at singing their company just don’t let her show it.

I love everglow but I’ve always thought that they seemed weak vocally. And now it’s making the line distributions so unfair :(
Not a Everglow stan, but i really like Sihyun voice, and is weird but Yiren voice is pretty, but the others voice kind of sound weird to me.
I'm also need to be honest and say that i'm a little bit disappointed, but ok, Everglow is more a dance than a vocal group

Just curious, but is there a way to train yourself to have more emotion in your voice (for a person like Sihyeon)? And is it possible to change the tone of your voice to a more "pleasing" tone?

Different aspects such as breathing or changing the volume during certain parts of the song can create emotion/nonmonotaneous singing. Changing tone will have to do with changing placement.
I would like to add to curry statement that something that would really improve the projection of emotions is expanding her musicality and going more in depth of the melody line of the songs.

I feel like you forgot versatility from what we’ve so far in my opinion onda voice suits the cute concept perfect and since everglow has a cute concept on some for some of their performances for b-sides it would only make sense for to make Onda lead vocal. (idk if that made sense).

People say Onda’s a lead vocalist without knowing her vocal capability limit to which she has vocal projection. She’s very much average while Aisha and Sihyeon are extremely better contenders than her.

In my opinion Onda's voice sounds forced. Like its unnaturally high for some reason. Her talking voice in variety shows sound more natural. Idk maybe my ears are the problem lol 😂

Luckily they don’t really have to be good vocalists, since all their songs are EDM/TRAP + a little bit of rap & vocal.

1. Mia/Sihyeon (I honestly prefer Sihyeon but I understand why Mia is the Main Vocalist and I don't think Sihyeon sounds monotone but it's your opinion cause my voice is monotone and we sound nothing similar)
2. Aisha (Honestly way better than I thought she would be)
3. Onda (Shouldn't be a lead Vocalist and doesn't get enough lines to actually see her skill)
4. Yiren (She needs to at least try to sing live though-)
5. E:U (She's probably better at singing than Yiren but Yiren has a better chance at improving)
I love Sihyeon but she has one of the most monotonous voices I’ve heard in kpop, she’s definitely improved from her produce days tho.

I really like Everglow, but they all don't really seem to be very trained vocally. Mia seems to be a good vocalist, she is powerful, but in another group she could be just a lead vocalist (except if the group really has bad or average vocals).
Lead Vocalists such as Seulgi, Jennie, Nayeon, Wheein, Seungyeon and I think even Joy are kinda better, might be because they come from bigger companies and have proper trainers.
I do think Mia has better vocals than Itzy tho. But I think all of them could have a longer training period, to me the whole group seems rushed. If all of them trained for a year longer, I think their potential would be much higher.

I do not agree with a lot of thing, like for me the ranking is like that ............................................................1. Sihyeon (for me the best vocalist in general, she is just not the most stable in stage when I listen the MR Removed but that’s it.)
2. Mia (the best technique in general but she need to color her voice.)
3. Onda (we can’t judge because we don’t listen her voice live a lot, and for me she has a really good projection on her voice and her " nasal " voice doesn’t mean that she is a bad vocalist, it is sometime a problem but here I really think that this is really her voice.)
4. Aisha (the most emotional and unique voice of the group, she is an average singer but she doesn’t how to breath when she is in stage. I really want to her singing in a song for next comeback with some belt, that would be interesting.)
5. Yiren (for me she has the same problem with Shuhua of (G)-IDLE, she has simple line, and she can’t prove to the public she really can sing, but in Dun Dun, when I listen to her part with " you so dun ! " she has a REALLY good projection and I think she has to work a lot, but like she is the youngest of the group and I always say that Yiren she is not comfortable to sing live now, i think she is not ready like Shuhua in her debut, so this is why she has this type of line)
6. E:U (for me this is not because you don’t have a cute voice that it makes you a better vocalist, E:U can change her tone and that is so cool, but for me we never listen to sing a little bit but just in bonbon chocolat I can’t say that live she has a problem a little bit breath and it makes her voice nasal, but this is not her type of voice so this is a problem, and for me she has a good projection in rap but not when she sing.
And I think that Everglow have to change the positions of the group, but not all member !
