Got me a hunt camp in between Timmins and Shinning tree. We do an annual week long grouse trip every Thanksgiving weekend. I'm originally from Timmins so it always feel like I'm going home. Love it up there. Thank for this video
I'm a fan of the 16ga guys. Great shotgun for grouse. Going north in a couple of weeks. Even though I'm in my 60's, I still like going up for chickens. Great video guys! Tks for sharing.
16ga has been my favourite for grouse hunting ! It's nice at any age to just get out in the wilderness, hunting the birds is just a bonus to the fun ! Thanks for watching !
@@jroppeler the video would be too bulky to include but we do pick up the lost shells from ourselves and other hunters, I appreciate to see fellow respectable hunters !
New subscriber here, love outdoor videos, hiking, hunting, fishing even cooking outdoors. Thats how I skin my grouse as well, its quick and simple I find. Great day out hope ypu have an awesome week.
I've never heard the MNR recommend burying mis-fired ammo. A google search reveals nothing of the sort, either. The odd time I get one, it goes back in the gun and try, try again. If that still wont make it fire, soak it in penetrating oil for a bit, then dispose of in the garbage.
@DavidMakela-lu1ts With a Google search the clear direction unfortunately is not clear, what information have you found regarding the matter? If disposing in the garbage it may be better to take the ammunition apart prior to disposal for shotgun shells, only other thing ive found is giving to the opp. thanks for watching and sharing your information!
Thanks for the educational comment ! Most of the roads are unmaintained old logging roads but its a good practice as vehicles are still plentiful during that time. I want to try the .22 this year for the fun of it! thanks for watching !
@@VentureCreek yes it good to keep here in Northern Ontario even if it graded one time you have to be on the shoulder of the road. A road we go on often got graded one time we had to be on the shoulder. Where we are tons of logging roads are communities are build from logging. Keep on hunting. .22 is harder to navigate through the bush. My husband goes in further in bush than I do since he has the 20 gage.
Cool ! I've never been to Hearst but I like hunting in Timmins ! I don't actually live there im in Elliot Lake but just along the outskirts has many nice trails, thanks for watching!
I must be getting old as all I could think was "pull up you pants!" Like my grouse over setters and a 28g but any reason to take a walk in the wilds is a good one.
@@VentureCreek sorry brother I was a little harsh I did watch the vid In full and was a good one and in any instance anytime a guy can go out and bag a limit of those cool birds hey……that’s the life! Good shootin!
Great video guys! Sharing in our National Newsletter tonight! Well done!
@@CCFRtv thanks for watching it was a great fun day and much appreciated for the share !

@@VentureCreek Definitely on the same wavelength LOL

Graded road should have been fully on the shoulder before shooting. We use .22 and 20 gage. We are 2 hour from north from Timmins. Nice video tho

I live in Hearst a few hours from timmins and hunt grouse a lot around here. Been wanting to try the timmins area for a while, any good tips on areas?

Where is this place we can go there?
Timmins Ontario! 3 hours north of Sudbury but you don't have to go near that north to get some good hunting in!
@VentureCreek I'm new in hunting so tell me like every body can go there like this place is not private property right?
@VentureCreek and please tell me exact place in timmins 🙏
I live there to I was just wondering where abouts you hunt
We just hunt on outskirts around Timmins, there's a couple nice trails around and not always too busy, thanks for watching !
