So, i think its been just long enough since i've seen the matrix for this game to be welcome. Mechanically, its as good as any of the legendary encounters games, but i always feel that the IP is a big draw card here, so if you dont give a stuff about the matrix, you might not care about this one. That said, i really had a good time with Legendary Matrix and thought the scenario design and how they implemented the difference between the real world and the matrix was very well done.
Thanks Jared. I absolutely do give a stuff about The Matrix and have wanted to try Legendary Encounters for a while so this could be “The One” for me 😉 It seems expensive though for a card game - I guess because of the IP?
There is a ton of cards in there, hundreds of them and that's what keeps the price of the series up, especially for the core boxes. I still think they are pretty reasonable, all things considered.
Legendary Alien is one of my favourite games ever. Couldn't read very clearly if you liked this better than the Alien one. Which one do you think is better?
@@3MBG I really enjoyed the alien quadrilogy. In my head, the Matrix is still just a trilogy (not meaning to troll it or anything, I was genuinely very disappointed).
@@jamesjacobthomson6198 All good. It's more expectation management for anyone watching. Aliens having 4 films of content, and matrix only having 3. Funny that both films 4th film is resurrections though.
Wouldn’t be surprised if half the enemy cards are just Agent Smith.
In movie 2, yes, lol

Very nice game. I'm waiting for the Resurrections expansion set hopefully with Bugs and Lexy as additional characters.
Thank you!

At least the artwork is better than the Firefly edition.....shocking!
Yeah, the firefly one is bad for a lot of reasons, that's one of them
Thank you

Alien is my fav in the series , but this is closer to it than any of the other legendary games i've played
Not sure why they went for comic style art in later Legendary games. Much prefer the more realistic art of Legendary Alien.
Cheaper? These games have a lot of images
Huge huge fan of the matrix movie but the legendary system just doesn't seem appealing. I should go rewatch it...
Fair enough, if legendary aint for you no theme will over ride that
I'm not exactly sad about the exclusion of Resurrections...
I still havent seen it. But the Alien legendary shipped with alien 1-3 and resurrections.

Maybe an expansion, to squeeze a few more dollars out of us
It's possible, but its also more likely the 4th film, with all the time difference, has very different licensing.
