Hey guys, we've really enjoyed your South Africa videos. We travel full-time and will be sure to check out Kruger Shalati when we make it to that part of the world. Thanks for the great info.
We are visiting South Africa in a few months, staying someplace else but going to plan a trip for 2025 just so we can stay here! What month did you go? Was it warm enough to use the pool? Looks amazing!!
You go off road on the dirt trails too but not off the trails. Some of the private game lodges do go off trail but that’s somewhat controversial given harassing the animals. We got plenty close to many animals on the main road and dirt roads to not need to follow them around in their natural habitat. Hope that helps!!
@ I definitely don't want to disturb the animals more than necessary, but it would be nice to have a more wild experience than driving around on paved roads and marveling at the animals. I would also like to go on a walking tour.
Understandable. That’s why we like Kruger Shalati. Right balance as can go off road on dirt roads whereas Kruger Park tourist “buses” safaris cannot from what we saw and were packed with tourists. There’s a huge difference in cost with the private game lodges in Sabe Sands so if your budget allows, head there. For the best just below that exclusive level, we loved our experience with Kruger Shalati 🙌
I believe it's not obligatory to be vaccinated against hepatitis and yellow fever etc.Even in Kenya i only took malaria tablets( but that was a long time ago.
Correct, we didn’t have to verify any vaccinations but had these anyways. Always best to check with your PCP or travel clinic to be safe in addition to host country’s entry requirements online. Safe travels!

We’re staying there in about a month for the final nights of our honeymoon. I’m even more exciting having watched this video. Thanks for posting!
Our pleasure and congrats! You’re going to absolutely love it! 🥰
Thanks for the great video! We were on the fence to see if it was worth it and your review convinced us! Cheers
Awesome, thanks!! You’ll love it!

Very hot in summer down there! December was our trip!
is it right that you only drive on the main road while the game drive?
