"Empress 2816," a 1930-vintage 4-6-4 Hudson-type steam locomotive, is in charge of Canadian Pacific Kansas City Ltd's Calgary to Mexico City "Final Spike Steam Train" on enroute from Bensenville, Illinois to Nahant (Davenport), Iowa on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Locations are just east of Leaf River, lllinois and Sabula, Clinton and LeClaire, Iowa. A pair of FP9s - CP 1401 and CP 4107 - bracket the Empress and her tenders, and a 15-car consist.

CPKC mainline via Muscatine and Ottumwa. There is only one route they would take.
