Btw I should mention that while I was editing I was thinking of showing button prompts but.. I got lazy, mainly because the movesets are so basic I didn't think it was worth the effort. If anyone wants to know, I'll explain here: Basically all the weapons are the same: mash square, press triangle, hold triangle (depends on the weapon) and perss circle. For handguns/shotguns, you can use square and circle but triangle is for shooting, you can hold R1 to aim/lock-on a target, and if you ran out of bullets the triangle becomes a simple attack. For the lighter and spray you have to hold both R1 and triangle in order to shoot. If you don't know how to do the Heat Actions, here's a list of all of them in this video and how to trigger them. - *Exclusive Majima Heat Actions:* *Essence of Weapon Blindside* (0:39): press triangle near an enemy right after you pull out a 1-handed weapon. *Essence of Umbrella Onslaught* (0:53): equip an umbrella and press triangle near an enemy. *Essence of Dagger Blindside* (1:41): press triangle near an enemy right after you pull out a knife. *Essence of the Thug: Blade Flash* (1:48): equip a knife and press triangle near an enemy. *Essence of Pole Blindside* (5:12): press triangle near an enemy right after you pull out a pole/staff. *Essence of Pole Pandemonium* (5:42): equip a pole and press triangle near an enemy. *Essence of Tonfa 1* (7:18): equip a tonfa and press triangle near an enemy while on the 2nd heat bar. *Essence of Tonfa 2* (7:10): same thing but you have to be on 3rd heat bar. *Essence of Nunchaku 1* (8:06): equip a nunchaku and press triangle near an enemy while on the 2nd heat bar. *Essence of Nunchaku 2* (8:20): same thing but need to be on 3rd bar. *Essence of Twin Sticks 1* (9:09): equip kali sticks and press triangle near an enemy while on the 2nd heat bar. *Essence of Twin Sticks 2* (9:20): same thing but 3rd heat bar now. - *Exclusive Kiryu Heat Actions:* *Essence of the Umbrella* (1:08): equip an umbrella and press triangle near an enemy. *Essence of Stabbing* (2:00): equip a knife and press triangle near an enemy. *Essence of Bo Colining* (6:16): equip a pole and press triangle near an enemy. (Rush only) *Essence of Beast: Iron Bash* (11:06): equip a hammer and press triangle near an enemy. - *Heat Actions both can do* *Essence of Pummeling* (0:46): equip a 1-handed weapon and press triangle near an enemy. *Essence of Stabbing: Table* (2:09): equip a knife and press triangle when both you and the enemy are near a table or some waist height surffaces (like the hood of some cars) *Essence of Stabbing: Wall* (2:15): equip a knife and press triangle when both you and the enemy are near a wall. *Essence of Stun Gun* (2:30): just press triangle with a stun gun near an enemy. *Essence of Batting* (3:10): equip a bat and press triangle near an enemy. *Essence of Golf* (3:42): equip a golf club a press triangle near an enemy. *Essence of No Mercy* (10:07): equip knuckles and press triangle near a fallen enemy.
? Bruh, you're better off using fists than Sturdy Knife. Kiryu can use it to block against Knife/sword wielding enemies (and maybe Gun toting enemies, I'm not sure if you can block them with weapons) but since 100 Million Yen is nothing in this game, why not buy the breakable weapons? They're not Y6/K2 weapons made out of glass and paper with 4 durability. Most of the 200+ attack weapons even have like 20-30 durability. Add in skills where they don't degrade while calm and you can use weapons for the entirety of one of the longer, extended fights (like at Dojima HQ). Instead of using the Sturdy knife you can use Spicy, you can use the Sunburst katana, Patriarch's bat, hell you can even load up on Cannons and shotty bangers and mow down enemies. (10 Shotguns packing 10 shells each is 100 rounds and then you have 40 Cannonballs from the Destroyer of Lands which is enough to take down any section of the game without ever punching; disregarding Shakedown or Amon or any cracked out MF-er) Maybe if you're max level or damn near max you'd want to use Infinite weapons. The infinite dagger from Kiwami 2 was great because again, normal weapons in that game have no durability plus it stuns. In this game the only way I would use a infinite weapon is to block swords and Kiryu's feet. Just to further bury the infinite weapons, Wooden katanas do twice their damage. Wooden Katanas. The weapon I would reccommend dropping.
@@fakename503 i have all infinite durability weapons, i just said the Kali type weapons is good bc of stun, knife good bc both characters can used and heat action is way too easy to execute and take down enemies even when Mr Shakedown not killed I still can used combo on ground like Brawler Snatch attack and Dragon 2 hits 1 end and grab, Majima is Breaker. Dmg is bad but they're down and I know what combo to hit make it good
I like this video, not much do I see Yakuza players willing to give their time to show the different weapon animations considering what you just said, but I still have some questions though about why Kiryu's katana animations were not featured, unless of course Kiryu's sloppy, one-handed slashing are more reminiscent of, per se, 0:09 1-handed weapons. Still, I find this video very amusing, especially Majima's katana skills before being trained.
I'm really glad you liked the video! The reason I didn't show Kiryu's katana animations is because all attacks have the same animations as any other 1-handed weapon. Square attacks with handguns also have the same animation but since the triangle and circle attacks are different, I still decided to include them.
@@seka1nix Ah, understandable, alright, though it would've been better to at least show some of Kiryu's katana handling, the video still does those a massive favor to those can't get the game for themselves to satiate their curiosity. So thank you either way.
I love this style. The poles are my favorite because they cover such a wide area when attacking. Though I also love the light weapons that deal rapid consecutive attacks. Wish there were vids of beating all bosses using just a pole, nunchuck or kali sticks... Ok, I'm editing alot more than I should. I've never seen hammers knuckles or the other guns ever and now I just wanna lay waste to a boss using a fucking hammer or a goddamn cannon.
Honestly beating bosses is tricky because the weapons moveset, while they look cool, are pretty limited. And if you wanna use the ones with infinite durability, the damage is pretty low, so it's gonna take a while to deplet a boss' health. The guns, cannons and bladed weapons are more effective tho, cuz obviously they can't block those lol.
@@ze_glitchy_gamer7629 Bruh, chill. I never said they aren't fun to use. I know spears/poles can be fun, I used one against Lau Ka Long in Yakuza Kiwami.

I used Calming Towel so my heat doesn't rise.
You have to meet certain conditions you order to trigger a heat action, the button prompt for it is all the same, triangle for PS, Y for Xbox and LMB if you're on PC. Check the pinned comment, I listed all the heat actions in the video and how to trigger them.

Yes, but in contrast they deal very little damage.
why didnt you show the brass knuckles as majima? is it just the same as Kiryu?
Precisely. There'd be no point in showing Majima's handling of knuckles cuz the animations are basically the same.

I got it by doing equipment searches at that Dragon & Tiger place
if i found some equipments in Sotenbori the weapons automatically goes to that weapon store in kamurocho?@@seka1nix
@@cavalodetroxa8967 if i remember correctly yes if you found it in Sotenbori it becomes available in Kamurocho too

Yeah, unfortunally. Although.. the game does have an enemy with a stone cutter or whatever that is, it would be freaking awesome if you could equip it
How do you get sturdy weapons?
You have to search for them in the Dragon & Tiger.
Can somebody tell me how to pull the weapon out?
Press down on the dpad
