I agree. I now live in OK and I miss Bojangles so much. Whenever I go home, I make it a priority to have Bojangles, I’m sorry but Popeyes doesn’t even compare.
Bo is also found in Georgia where I lived for almost 2 decades but is sadly absent from Texas where I lived for a decade. Going for years without a Bo biscuit is a crime against humanity....
You should try the Whataburger Jalapeno Cheddar biscuits, especially as a breakfast sandwich, with sausage egg and cheese, oh man is that good! p.s. Whataburger is consistently high on his lists.
I agree. There were biased reviews. I can't say the same people will be working, but everyday is different foods and tastes with most fast food places.
I love Bojangle's country ham biscuits. The ham seasons the biscuit so well. I'll get a couple of ham biscuits and eat the rest later. I microwave the whole biscuit for 30-45 seconds until warmed through. Then I remove the warm ham and pop the biscuit into my toaster oven and toast until it's crisped up, usually 3-4 minutes, depending on how brown the biscuit was to start with. If you want a really crispy biscuit, toast both halves separately straight on the wire rack so all sides get toasty.
Never heard of Bojangles before seeing this video last spring. Went to NC for spring break. Had to stop at Bojangles and try the food based off of this video. Going to have to agree with you. They make quite possibly the best biscuits ever made.
Absolutely. Not to take anything away from Pop Pa's {my father-in-law}biscuit's and milk gravy, KFC's biscuits and chicken gravy will get you through a day up north.
My dad grew up during the depression. They must have eaten a lot of biscuits back then because once in the 1970's, he ordered breakfast at a diner and the waitress gave him biscuits. He said something like, "I don't want these damned biscuits, give me toast ! " LOL !
"Jack's doesn't qualify." NoooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOoooooo!!! Seriously, though... Jacks's gravy & biscuits is where it's at. I don't think I have a Bojangles near me, so I can't put that in my own rankings. I'd forgotten about Hardee's somehow at the start of this video. Just kinda ranking the biscuits near me (and considering that I normally will order a chicken biscuit or a biscuit & gravy), I'd go with Jack's (because it's in MY rankings), Hardee's, Whataburger, & Chick-Fil-A-- in that order. Granted, CFA is up there purely because of their chicken and not so much for the biscuit. That face when first looking at the McDonald's biscuit... I've made that face. It'll do if that's all you can get, but there are definitely better options if you have them.
I'm from Pennsyltucky, spent a mess of time in S. Cackalacky. What ya call an "honorary" southerner. All these vids, I agree. Loved when you discovered Cheerwine....its like drinking angel tears! So, tell us who has the best sausage biscuit!!!! You know it's Bo's already, haha!!!

@@MarcD6272 Its called auto correct, besides how can anyone call himself a true Southerner and put a company founded in CA, and taken over by someone in Chicago ahead of a true Southern company in any way?
I baked biscuits for Bojangles and only complaint I have is the fake butter we brushed them with. Not even Dawn dish detergent would break that chemical stew down. I agree BJ biscuits taste the best with the lard and supposedly made fresh every 30 minutes when rules are followed. What I really hate are the hipster "cathead" biscuits sold for $8 as chic Southern cuisine.
Okay a couple of things Krystals and Whataburger are no were near me so I can't speak to them but why was KFC left off the list? They meet the criteria. Their biscuits are great I think you just have a crappy BK near you cause the one near me are good. Bojangles I have issues with because there is just way too much salt in their biscuits and food in general always leaves me feeling icky all day after I eat there.
When Bojangles came to town, my friends and I got together twice a week to get a sausage biscuit there. Others boasted of Hardees but they just didn't know.
I'd keel to have a Bojangles just in my state. But I live in Illinois and we just can't have nice things. I think the closest Bojangles is about a 3 hour drive, and I'd gladly walk every mile for a Cheddar Bo.

jordan hicks not really... they are only testing it in 6 cities. That’s it. So unless you’re in one of those cities, you’re out of luck. It hasn’t been decided if they will expand it to add it across the southern states or even nationally yet, but wish they’d hurry up and push it out here in the Charlotte market!
@@robertdavis4562 well then. I'm lucky I guess, cause i'm in one of those cities
I love biscuit ville
Robert Davis actually all of the dwarf house locations have Mac and cheese. They’re great
My wife's on the Burger King biscuit:
”This biscuit is making me wanna cuss... and not in a good way.”
OMG, drunk friend doing a back flip off the porch! I was right there it's a southern thing for sure but I also know NJ and Masshole friends who feel it too!
We spent 9 months living in North Carolina. Hands down the two best fast food biscuits are from Biscuitville and Bojangles. They really need to expand those restaurants throughout the entire South.
Popeyes
Yup
Put em in my mouth. But gimme a drink, those biscuits will strangle you if you ain't careful
And don't forget the IED
Popeye's would clear the rankings.
"Keep two hands on your biscuit and use your legs for the steering wheel" - Matt
Matt: It’s gonna take a lot to beat Hardee’s.
WHATABURGER: hold my beer
You should try the Whataburger Jalapeno Cheddar biscuits, especially as a breakfast sandwich, with sausage egg and cheese, oh man is that good! p.s. Whataburger is consistently high on his lists.
"Crumbilosity " "I've had worse biscuits, I've been up north" "Gods chicken"
👍
How about doing this over as a blind test? You love affair with Bojangles and Whataburger is well known.
Yes, I found it somewhat disturbing that it wasn't a blind taste test like they use on America's Test Kitchen.
He'd know a Bojangles biscuit blindfolded.
I agree. There were biased reviews. I can't say the same people will be working, but everyday is different foods and tastes with most fast food places.
True, but I bet this dude could find a Bojangles biscuit buried in a sand dune.
I think this was mainly just for entertainment so he could comment on each restaurant before trying the biscuit.
“I’m gonna eat around that” 😂😂
I love Bojangle's country ham biscuits.
I never realized that Jack's is pretty much only in Alabama. It's just everywhere here.
@William Apple we have cook out in Alabama. Theres one in Jacksonville.
I love my Jack’s biscuits in Alabama!
There are maybe two or three Jacks in Tennessee
There are a few in GA!
They have a few in our neighbor states but they don't go far
Inner core, outter core, crust, mantel. These are the layers of the earth.
You forgot the stratosphere clearly
I sang it
Frenchy's biscuits in Houston!!! Those things cured my healthy eating habits.
Chick fil a biscuits are merely a transportation device for their heavenly chicken
The hell?! Talkin' bout southern fast food chains, I believe y'all forget two of the biscuit gods, Popeyes and KFC. Amen.
Absolutely. Not to take anything away from Pop Pa's {my father-in-law}biscuit's and milk gravy, KFC's biscuits and chicken gravy will get you through a day up north.
KFC doesn't serve breakfast. They only picked places that serve breakfast. And Bojangles is better than both anyway, so it doesn't matter.
"I've had worst biscuits. I've been up north" I spit out my gum
My dad grew up during the depression. They must have eaten a lot of biscuits back then because once in the 1970's, he ordered breakfast at a diner and the waitress gave him biscuits. He said something like, "I don't want these damned biscuits, give me toast ! " LOL !
Should rank CHICKEN biscuits next
“And probably prayed over since it came from Chick-fil-A” lol 😂
"I've been up north"
BUUUUUURN!
That music cutoff on BK was oddly hilarious.
"Jack's doesn't qualify."
NoooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOoooooo!!!
I was also disappointed that Jack's wasn't allowed in. That place makes outstanding biscuits. Their chicken biscuit is anazfubg.
Ikr I love Jack's
@@MarionStevensJr Jack's biscuits and gravy....Tha bombbbbbb
Popeyes & Church’s should have been included in this
I'm from Pennsyltucky, spent a mess of time in S. Cackalacky. What ya call an "honorary" southerner. All these vids, I agree. Loved when you discovered Cheerwine....its like drinking angel tears! So, tell us who has the best sausage biscuit!!!! You know it's Bo's already, haha!!!
after hearing Bojangles mentioned so many times I wanted to see where one was. not a single one in Texas
MY FAM AND I LOVE MATT, BUT HE BROKE OUR HEARTS AT CHICK FIL A!!! We agree with that North statement! :)
"Paula dean started crying"
This guy is Hilarious! I'm subscribing!! 🤣
Dudeeeee that description for Krystal being the drunk friend ia SO accurate. My God. 😂
"I've had worse biscuits, I've been up North" I'm dead
Elbows on the table? Where’s his manners lol
No one is at the table with him.
Calli must not have been there to keep him in line
AND littering
I love the biscuits from Hardees and Bojangles.
McDonalds above Chick-Fil-A??? Are you on drugs? Are you part Yankee?
Chick fil a is a Georgia company. Southern as can be.
He is spot on about Chickfila biscuits, they are super dry and just plain weak. Plus I would suspect that you are the "Yanky" because true Southerners know how to spell Yankee
Now those are fighting words
@@MarcD6272 Its called auto correct, besides how can anyone call himself a true Southerner and put a company founded in CA, and taken over by someone in Chicago ahead of a true Southern company in any way?
Speaking as a longtime CFA employee chickfila are only good fresh
“I’ve had worse biscuits I’ve been up north” lmao 😂
I baked biscuits for Bojangles and only complaint I have is the fake butter we brushed them with. Not even Dawn dish detergent would break that chemical stew down. I agree BJ biscuits taste the best with the lard and supposedly made fresh every 30 minutes when rules are followed. What I really hate are the hipster "cathead" biscuits sold for $8 as chic Southern cuisine.
"I've had worse biscuits before, I've been to the north."🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yup biscuits aren't the best up here except Kentucky Fried Chicken that's th bomb!
Okay a couple of things Krystals and Whataburger are no were near me so I can't speak to them but why was KFC left off the list? They meet the criteria. Their biscuits are great
I think you just have a crappy BK near you cause the one near me are good.
Bojangles I have issues with because there is just way too much salt in their biscuits and food in general always leaves me feeling icky all day after I eat there.
KFC biscuits are weak.
@Guss Ruffee breakfast was not mentioned in the listed criteria. I doubled checked.
@@jshepard152 whose KFC, BK Bojangles?
LeeLee 34
Edited for clarity
@@jshepard152 Fair enough I would have just wanted to see them ranked on the list.
Dude, you've got to try Church's Fried Chicken's biscuits!
They are anointed!!!
Peace and Love
JESUS IS LORD agree 100%
Uhm last many times I had their biscuits.. They were hard as rocks.
this is by far the greatest review series ever like deadass
When Bojangles came to town, my friends and I got together twice a week to get a sausage biscuit there. Others boasted of Hardees but they just didn't know.
I'd keel to have a Bojangles just in my state. But I live in Illinois and we just can't have nice things. I think the closest Bojangles is about a 3 hour drive, and I'd gladly walk every mile for a Cheddar Bo.
